50 Cent Producing BMF Series

Rapper 50 Cent is bringing the notorious Black Mafia Family story to the small screen...

50 Cent announced yesterday that he was producing the BMF story for cable.

The BMF was a notorious drug gang out of Detroit run by Demetrius 'Big Meech' Flenory and his brother Terry.

The brothers pleaded guilty to drug and money-laundering charges and forfeited an astounding 270 million to the government back in 2007 [click here if you missed that].

@12:38 - Exactly! What about a well-written comedy with well developed characters? I even enjoyed silly-ass "Baggage Claim."

12:06 - There's no need for personal attacks. I'm not 12pm, but I really look to entertainment blogs for fun and levity. Please take your negativity somewhere else, especially today. Peace.

Why does Mafia = violence, gangs, prostitutes, drugs, and basically everything that black people are being labeled as. Black people are trying not to be stereotypes anymore. Hell even the shoe Blackish ain't black. Too many white people. Is that all blacks can do is make it to the top by promoting hate and violence. 50 sit you assume down somewhere.

Not surprised by this coon. Anything to further document, embellish, and perpetuate the debaucherous aspect of (especially) the black race, this nigga's the first on the band wagon and volunteering to be the slave driver.
He lacks spiritual growth.
That's why his emotional, personal and financial matters stay STAGNANT.

And I cannot WAIT for Nate Parker's movie!!! It's supposedly coming out in October in Canada but I've been looking forward to it for months now!
It better not disappoint.

I actually read the book about BMF to get a glimpse into this type of mindset it was interesting. They were originally from Detroit and that's where it all began but they expanded to Atlanta and LA - with one brother, Meech, running ATL and the other LA. So I may tune in only because I've read the book. Otherwise I'm more interested in Birth of a Nation and waiting on a movie about Mansa Musa.

I thought you meant the Black Mafia who were originally from Philadelphia . Their story is crazy

I read the book too @8:27pm and I agree it was very interesting
Even though it was wrong what they did
The ytes was so disgusted the 2 black men
got ahead so far, using the same mind techniques that they themselves use on others, all the time
I would watch
