Miss Robbie Fighting to Sell Sweetie Pies?

Earlier this week Welcome to Sweetie Pie's fans were shocked to learn Miss Robbie was suing her son Tim over theft and trademark infringement [click here if you missed that].

Tim tells his side of the story...

In a post on Instagram Tim implies the real problem is his mom wants to sell Sweetie Pies but he doesn't.

Tim writes,

I won't sell the Sweetie Pies brand WE built.
I REFUSE to let anybody other than OUR people run OUR business. I have nothing but love for my mother but right now we agree to disagree.

He makes a valid point. Miss Robbie is ready to sit back and collect that check, but Tim wants to continue to build. I hope they can figure something out.

I agree with Tim. It may be "pies" but it's a BLACK-OWNED business. No time is more important than now to get your entreprenegro on, stop working for the man and you create jobs for others.

Hopefully they can come to compromise where Ms Robbie can sell her share and keep the business in the family.

Ms. Robbie is entitled to do whatever she wants with her share. If he wants it, then buy her out. Lady is old and ready to sit back and retire with no money worries. SHE started that business, not him.

Unless he's a partner on paper, then he needs to deal with it and move on to his own thing.

I don't watch the show often but from what I understand...
she was the one singing and shaking with Ike and Tina
she was the one on struggle when it ended and decided to start a catering business
she's Sweetie Pie...'nuff said

Guys y'all know Sweetie Pies is just the name, and it's actually a soul food restaurant right?

If Sweetie Pies get bought out by a corporation it will no longer be black owned
And black people will no longer be employed there
Most restaurants purposely and strictly higher lower wage workers like Mexicans
Even when the majority of their customers are Black people

@Cajun Scorpion CTFU!!! I thought you were gonna say that Mucked up haircut...but those titties need to be Ace Bandaged down too

He's not wrong; She doesn't seem very savvy a will probably sell it for peanuts and watch it grow via franchises, etc. Why not keep it and have them teach you how to grow the business yourself so you can have some generational wealth? Stop giving away your intellectual property so easily, Black people.

FYI: Google how Kathy Ireland Worldwide owns the management company that makes 10% off of Janet Jackson's income every year. Black people need to look deeper and stop working for others.

There is no patent on soul food. Sell that shit.

Start another venture. She wants to retire and not worry about the quality of her food with people she can't trust.

She built it from the ground up while he was screwing up. Now she's older, she's ready to live out her days, and with his dumb ass, she wants to sell before he destroys what she's built. I'm not the least bit mad. Sell that shit, and make him fend for himself.

Well, he should consider buying her out, case closed. He makes a valid point but she still should reap the fruits of her labor because that's ultimately her business, he's an employee. He can take out a business loan and buy her out if that is what she wants. He wants everything for free but she's too old to continue to work. Ms. Robbie is nearly 80. Ms.Robbie is smart and probably sees her son getting out of pocket. I like Tim a lot because he's dedicated but staging a coup will backfire on him.

Guys you are all dumb, he co signed on the loans too remember those episodes. She can't sell without his approval
