Antoine Fuqa Tapped for Scarface Re-Boot

Training Day director Antoine Fuqua tapped for a possible re-boot of Scarface...

This week Antoine Fuqua announced he was in talks with Universal Stuidos about remaking the classic gangster movie Scarface.

If the deal goes through Fuqa's version will be set in modern-day L.A.

The 1983 version starring Al Pacino as a Cuban immigrant to Miami was a remake of the 1932 original set in Chicago and based on the rise and fall of mob boss Al Capone.

@Reds4real2006: Scarface [1983] is a remake of Scarface [1932]. The original is about liquor not cocaine.

No fuking creativity in Hollywood which is why I support Indie films now...this the most stupid idea ever. Damn, there are so many drug lord stories to break new ground

Leave it alone. There are no actors other than Al Pacino that can play Scarface. NONE

@Goliano, I never knew that....well let's just say I'm sure Hollywood won't be able to out do the remake...just leave the shit alone and get creative

Why can't they just let old school movies be great??....and for that matter old shows. No one wants to see a remake of The Fresh Prince, A Different World, Moesha, etc, etc

They've officially run out of ideas, coupled with the fact that people are tuning out of network TV and movie-going is at an all time low. Deep inside people are waking up and realizing it's better to spend their money on themselves, their families, or saving it. The distractions aren't working anymore.

Partly because Hollywood has turned a bunch of talent-less nobodies into celebrities & abandoned the true art form of acting & story telling. They really need to bring Art back into the school curriculum. Fukin shame
