Bill Cosby's Pitt-Bull Attorney Steps Down

Bill Cosby loses powerhouse attorney Monique Pressley...

According to reports Monique Pressley, who vigorously defended the embattled comedian in the media, is no longer representing Bill Cosby in his criminal sexual assault case.

No reason was given for her withdrawal.

Cosby is facing three felony charges of second-degree aggravated indecent assault after prosecutors re-opened a 2003 investigation of a case that had been settled out of court [click here if you missed that].

Lawyers often hang on even when they know a client is guilty. I just asked a friend who passed the bar last month what would make this women quit? Her assessment:

-Damage to her legal career or a warning that the case would get uglier and it could hurt future hopes of joining a firm
-The client (Cosby) is not taking the attorney's advice
-The client is putting the case (as well as the attorney's standing with the State Bar in jeopardy) with reckless behavior
-Unpaid legal fees

It might be one of these reasons or a combination of all of them, but Pressley is smart to think of her career. (And why can I see Bill Cosby yelling at her and deferring to a man instead of her advice. He keeps messing around and he's going to die in jail. So sad for all involved.

She know his ass is guilty and it will fuck up her career. She probably tryna make partner with her firm and this big case will fuck up it.

Or, she's receiving a plethora of threats from those powerful enough to make every single last one of them come true!
