Bey so whack.....how whack is she?

Kelly doesn't even come on here and comment with the this will totally take Beyonce's career out of the gutter comments.

@2:11 Thank you. Don't get the hype with these two frauds. These ghetto attention whore projects are nothing but a rip-off of R. Kelly Mr.Biggs/Trapped in the Closet series and Usher's Confessions. Can they please go the fuck away???

Yo Jay.....get off that bullshit. Make a good ass rap album. Singing is for bitches nigga!!! WHERE DAFUQ BROOKLYN AT!?!?!?!?!

As "fresh" as rancid dumpster tuna. This IS the same type of music R. Kelly did in the 90's as 2:17 said. Their version of "Me and My Girlfriend" was corny and Tupac wasn't even cold in his grave when they released it.

Hell, Yoko Ono and John Lennon did a double album in 1980.

I have nothing personal against the Carters, but I am a music lover and I'm tired that record companies keep trying to force-feed everyone the same old crap.

@2:39 - Unless you're talking about Brownsville and East New York, Brooklyn is as fake and gentrified as Jay-Z 1/19 of 1 percent stake in the Nets.

New York Hip-Hop and mainstream Hip-Hop is all smoke and mirrors now.

You deleted my comment, Snitch...Are you on the Carter payroll? I wrote:

2:39 PM - Jay can’t make a good rap album because he doesn’t have anyone’s style to bite off of. Music today is wack as Bey & Jay.

3:00 PM - Well said!

and you can thank JayZ for selling out Brooklyn. They used his name and his blessings gave them the gall they needed to start displacing folk who have lived in Brooklyn for generations.

Now that Manhattan is priced out, they have gentrified Brooklyn so much, it's unrecognizable as the place I grew up in.

The gentry who are filing in, could care less about the culture of the neighborhoods they are invading and the people they have displaced

everywhere they go, they take the land, they push folk out and claim it as their own. That's how Christopher discovered America. It's been working, so why change it now?

Jay loved Brooklyn so much he sold it out, got his thirty shekels and he and B been on the run ever since. Now they want you to buy into their relationship and are willing to share themselves, but pay them first.

3:38pm better tell it! And let's not even talk about the "new" residents calling the police on folks in Flatbush sitting on the stoop talking on hot nights. The community has been doing that since before air conditioning! Ugh!

Anonymous said...

I'm 3:38 @ 3:54

They ain't to afraid to come in and buy up the neighborhood though and ACT as if it's theirs.

It's them that are different, not the residents they are displacing. THEY are not accustomed so they do what they would do at THEIR home (and if it was alladat, then why come live with the lowest of society???-ijs), which is NOT BROOKLYN, and wonder why they are met with such hostility by those of us who has been in Brooklyn since forever. We lived with it, raised our children on the culture and our children are among the best and the brightest in the world.

We don't need you coming into the hood all late, because you can't afford where you are supposed to be, and disregarding a culture and society and lifestyle that has been lived for centuries. We used to be a borough of many neighborhoods, but there was respect among us.

But now that money is playing a part, factoring in, they come in pulling the fear card, willing to pay top dollar when those who live there cannot afford the rent.

money pollutes everything everywhere

Thank you for breaking it down, 4:30. This is 3:54 and I'm so happy you really explained what's going on in BK for people who don't live there. I lived in Harlem for 5 years and gentrification robs cities of their culture and makes them "homogeneous." Good looking out/I wish Jay-Z and Spike Lee would have bought some of property to at least build some Black-owned wealth...

@3:38 you told no lies!!!!! Jay needs to stay his ass out west in LA and sell his crib out here bc he's finished in NYC.

@507 it kills me that y'all still think these puppets have any wealth that they control, lollll

They get a lifestyle, beach vacays, rides on someone else's private jets, staying in someone else's house

They cannot go in a bank and leave with a milli or probably even 500k

They are slaves and you know slaves have no control

Y'all just refuse to face reality

Anonymous said...

ITA @5:33 But I do get the sentiments of @3:38/@4:30 about gentrification.

The problem is that there aren't enough REAL affluent Black people willing to revitalize historically black area. As much as people complain about "white flight" there was black flight as well; many upwardly mobile African-Americans left those black neighborhoods in the dust. Instead of following the model Booker T. Washington laid out about Black picking an occupation, sticking to it and concentrating that skill and wealth on their side of the fence, they followed white people (yet again) out of those neighborhoods, leaving only the vulnerable and impoverished that the predatory demokkkrats were gearing up to pimp out for votes (as lydon johnson said "for 100 years").

Those are great points, 6:57. Though people have a mixed view of BTW through the prism of history, he was correct that Black folks have to use their own models for wealth building (as Asians do) because the "American" model was made for land-owning White families. (And in order to keep it, the wealth must be kept secret. When you go into Sunset Park that's predominately Korean or Borough Park that's Hasidic, you never know where the banks are and they're not labeled. That's kind of an obvious think but points to a bigger issue. Dr. Cosby and Oprah need to tell some responsible Black folks how they REALLY made their money.)
