It's really nobody's business what transpired or what ended their marriage. I hope she wins this one, it is yet another obvious attempt to make money off of him now that he's gone.

But, to TPTB--understand that we are WOKE, and we know what that you ended his life b/c he wouldn't play your game and now are continuing to do all you can to control his legacy.

WE ARE WOKE AND WE KNOW WHAT'S UP.

Good for her. I hope the judge rules in her favor.

Why would this be anyone else business except the two people that were in the marriage? This is just disgusting to try and capitalize on someone else death!

If there is no child involved and she is not making claims against the estate, leave it sealed. It's not like the Cosby situation where people were lining up to voice their complaints of alleged criminal activity. I see why that case was unsealed, although many may disagree. She has moved on to a different husband, babies, and is a businesswoman. Let her keep her private life with a now deceased man private.

This is no one's business. No judge should be able to overturn this sealed document

I Pray to God that they keep that sealed...they have exploited Prince enough since his death. Let his Soul Rest...let her live her life they way she has been...and the way it is meant. Why disrupt what she has now?

I don't think it's anybody's business how or why they divorced but with that said, we have opened Pandora's Box with Bill Cosby's sealed settlement documents being opened to the public for media consumption. I didn't think that was right either. Oh well.

Court documents are unsealed just as they are sealed, whenever deemed necessary.

The judge that ordered the documents in Cosby's case unsealed gave reason for doing so. I expect the judge presiding over this issue to do the same. We all shall see. Stay tuned.

If it isn't material to the settling of his estate the Judge will not order it to be unsealed.

I hope she wins. Besides this being an already sealed personal matter between the two of them. I'm sure all T's were crossed and I's were dotted when he was alive. This is just intrusion and another way to pick apart all that remains of him. Bones, bone marrow and all. It's amazing just how cold blooded some of us can be. A human being can die and still have those who will never let them RIP.

This is why one should never work for that Beast. Once you sell your soul, you're never free again. Not even in death. #Wisdom

It would be interesting to know how much she received in the divorce settlement, and if she can claim anything after his death. Let's see, 5 years together, no kids and an empty house which was demolished by Prince soon after. Not to mention that she cheated on Prince during the marriage, allegedly with her new hubby Mr. Benet, who was Halle Berry's husband at the time. I'm thinking that the citizens who loved and adored their native son want to know how this woman got over on Prince financially. I say make it public, so we will know if it was a fair settlement.

@3:53 - I didn't know about her cheating. However, that was a major trade down but I like her better than mayte because she keeps things quiet, which is how it should remain from this point on.

Very well said. Veil has been all the way lifted. Not a reason in the world why this document should be unsealed.

The unsealing of this document isn't material to his estate and is not property of the estate.

Humans have become to eager to gossip and too nosy. Now I understand the Bible speaking on itching ears and not being party to gossip. We won't allow peace because we feel entitled to more of people's business. SMH.

I think we should boycott buying any magazine, cd or other Prince related materials. We see what happened with MJ. We know Prince was a man of business and use of the laws. There's no way he died with a will. No way. I refuse to oil the cogs that wind the machine of greed and help them profit from his death.

@5:30 there's no way he died without a will.

It was never anyone else's business in the first place, but there had to be at least one reason for sealing the documents and that could have been anything.
