Governor Signs Rape Bill Inspired by Bill Cosby

The governor of California just signed a bill ending the statue of limitations for rape at the urging of Bill Cosby accusers...

This week California Governor Jerry Brown signed Bill SB 813, ending the statue of limitations on rape, a measure reportedly inspired by decades old accusations made against 78 year-old comedian Bill Cosby.

The bill is not retroactive, so it will not help past accusers, and takes effect Jan. 1, 2017.

Cosby is currently on trial for felony indecent assault for a 2004 case that had been previously settled out of court [click here if you missed that].
