But you glamorize through your music and videos. These pawns of the lord of the air are masters of trickery with their fake I care act.

Just like Kaepernak (however you spell his name), you fail to get the message and instead choose to attack the messenger. smh...

Anything to distract from that TIDAL stench. Everyone with a brain knows the "war on drugs" was a ruse and the Reagans were crooks.

on this earth where the prince darkness and the father of lies prevail, it's no coincidence or surprise, really, when you think of it, that lies are preferred more than the truth. And when someone speaks TRUTH, that person must be invalidated. Or you attack the messenger and ignore the message.

truthfully speaking, it was Ronald Reagan that changed the course of America.

Pick up a book.

And today we have these issues. And these politics. And this media.

Money did that. The love of wealth, money, power and celebrity have polluted our humanity.

The 80s did that. And who changed the course: Reagan and conservative values. Now we are off the chain with Donald Trump poised to be president

Let's put this into perspective. If the war was declared on drugs, wouldn't the smart thing be to not involve yourself with drugs then? Or is that to much like the right thing to do? If you werent peddling and using drugs there's a 1000% chance said war would never be of any issue.

The government won't defeat something they create and control.

Like the soil can not be depleted with herbicides.

Name any resource that generates that kind of wealth that the military just sits back and let it grow, so someone other than themselves can control it?

Cartels are just figureheads like African leaders and Saddaam was.

The Govt (CIA, Reagan)put Drugs in poor Black neighborhoods to fund Iran/Contra. They basically supplied the Crips/Bloods. They knew exactly where to put it because the know we are easily led. We have to be stronger & smarter as a people. They didn't force those drugs down our throats. we have to stop giving them the satisfaction

Anonymous said...

Drugs are a pile of cash dropped of in hoods with strings attached! They know many aren't going to resist that chance at making money.

I call it nigger-traps. It looks easy, but the price we pay will last generations.

Anonymous said...

So the CIA and the Reagan Administration put drugs into the Black community ok. So who put the gun to their heads and forced them to sell it or use it? NOBODY!

They all made a choice to smoke and sell crack! Choices have consequences. END of Story!

Anonymous said...

I heard this this morning - creative and good message but we all know, in America, that heroin/opiates are killing us and across all economical lines. A little late on the uptake Jay but ...

All celebrities have handlers and Jay Z is no different.

Anonymous said...

@Word

So you want us to give Jay a pat on the ass for saying something that should be COMMON FUCKING KNOWLEDGE to black folks and Americans at large? GTFOH, Jay's looking for brownie points after getting dragged for his failed business deals recently.

Anonymous said...

sounding like Nancy Reagan: JUST SAY NO

I know we have bombarded you, but JUST SAY NO.
I know we are taking away your opportunities,
but JUST SAY NO.

How pompous is that?!?!
Easier said than done, and if you or your family hasn't been affected by it, then THREE CHEERS for you.

You don't flood a country with drugs, and tell them to just say no, accepting no responsibility for them being there. If it was a crime to use drugs, the bigger crime was putting it in the hood in the first place.

I tell you what, it wasn't those from the hood bringing it in here and allowing it in here.

Put the blame squarely where it belongs: the those who love money and would do anything to keep and maintain a wealthy status. FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY.

We love money more than we love our humanity.

For whatever Jay is speaking out now, and I'm not a fan, I say this: even a broken clock is right twice a day.

It's the message, stupid Not the messenger. And the other part of the trick is to divide and conquer.

Divide our feelings on this crap, then come in for the kill to conquer us.

Don't be such a hater. Just look at WHAT he's saying. And it was an epic fail. Look at the laws passed since them, and who do you think is populating prisons, now?! And why?!?!

don't be blinded, fools. it was a failure. It was a travesty to have flooded the hood in the first place. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

{drops mic}

do

Word said...

No. But truth is truth. No he didn't say HE wasn't part of the problem. he just said it failed. and it did.

Word . . . reading is fundamental
No one forced them to take them, but what kind of people would put something into a community that knowingly destroys?!?!

Don't start nothing, won't be nothing.

If the drugs were not in the community in the first place, they would not be taken. Good for you that you have not had the issue, but many families lost because of those drugs infiltrating the neighborhood.

Cocaine used to be a rich man's drug before the 80s. Until they discovered they can get much more money selling crack.

I stand by every word. it did fail.
Just like the tough gun laws failed. All a plot to fill the prisons, and it worked!

Anonymous said...

If he shut Tidal down today, what the phuck does that have to do with him speaking facts? Trust and believe white people and especially NIGGAS will find EVERY opportunity to gloat about his failures, he's a black business man he knows that people rarely like to see blacks succeed and he's still telling the truth!

Word said...

I tell you what, it wasn't the crackheaad/addict that brought the drugs in here. I'm all for personal responsibility. So if the addict must take responsibility for taking it, then those who brought it in need to man up and take responsibility for bringing it in here.

Anonymous said...

THANK YOU Captain Obvious. Any one with half a brain ALREADY KNEW THIS. It just grinds my gears when some "celebrity" writes an article about problems that intelligent people have been ameliorate for YEARS and others act like what they said was SO ENLIGHTENING. THIS ISN'T NEWS!

Jay is a complete FOOL

"Open Letter" lyrics

"Politicians never did shit for me
Except lie to me, distort history
Wanna give me jail time and a fine
Fine, let me commit a real crime
I might buy a kilo for Chief Keef
Out of spite, I just might flood these streets"

REALLY, J is going to buy a kilo from Keef and out spite flood the street???

J is the REASON why we lost the WAR on DRUGS!!!!!!

Like blah blah blah

He's right but the timing of this penned letter is suspect to me. Colin didn't wait until he started to fall off before he expressed his disgust for the way Blacks are being treated. We haven't heard anything from Jay-Z since his rant about Blacks not supporting his crap music.

LOL so nobody was forced to smoke crack or sell crack like I thought. Apparently a large majority of people either really enjoyed smoking crack or they were just to damn dumb to not know how bad CRACK was!

However those choices to either smoke or sell CRACK were made by individuals. So the government knew alot of your nigga parents would really enjoy crack and made a shit ton of money off it LOL and the response is now its the "CIA" fault. WRONG its your crack smoking parents fault! SMFH

The Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male, also known as the Tuskegee Syphilis Study or Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment was an infamous clinical study conducted between 1932 and 1972 by the U.S. Public Health Service studying the natural progression of untreated syphilis in rural African-American men in Alabama UNDER THE GUISE of receiving free health care from the United States government.

LMFAO @2:21 but that's so true

Anonymous said...

Oh please re: people rushing to this man's defense. Allegedly the producers of "Kill the Messenger" about the CIA trafficking cocaine into urban communities came to him to see if he'd like to fund part of it for a BIG producer credit and heard nothing.

Crickets.

Jay-Z does nothing if not directed by handlers.

Anonymous said...

Thank you, 2:08! Now that he's no longer of use to the White people (his popularity is waning and he can no longer push an agenda) NOW he wants to address "Urban" issues.

When Black folks were being targeted at Barneys, he tap danced around the issue to make money for himself and his handlers (very little of the money went to "charity" as it was supposed to.)

And to those who think he changed? Let's not forget when he allegedly told on Irv Gotti, Dame Dash, and Chris Lighty when they tried to start a fully Black-owned record and distribution company...Jay-Z only cares about himself and equates White "acceptance" with success.

Anonymous said...

^^^Don't forget to add J. Prince and Suge Knight to the list. They allegedly had it ALL planned, and brought him into the mix AGAINST Dame's protests (probably because he knew how Jay-Z really was.)

He softens his voice and smiles a hell of a whole lot around white folks. Would he mush Gwyneth Paltrow in the head like he did the girl in the video below? Probably not.

I don't care if he smoked crack, use to sell crack, loves yt, is a sellout, puppet, out for self, opportunist or anything else; speak on it Jigga, you're telling the truth.

Anonymous said...

@3:02 - Yeah he makes valid points, but you have to ask WHY he's even talking about this now after a history of ducking and dodging these issues. Think about it/Don't fall for the okie doke.

(If anyone can't tell, allegedly TPTB are pushing for a race war. Start reading up on it.)

Anonymous said...

Hey people this fake opposition is part of their game. Yes it was an epic fail, yes we know why and all they funneled into the community. Yes He used it all of this and packaged it in his music. By glamorizing the life style he invested in it. Get it? They're all invested. They clown you behind the scene but need you to pay for it.

@3:13pm, u cant tell any of these idol worshippers that
they lve Jayz and their idols more the they love themselves

"I will sell ice to an eskimo"
Another 1 of Jay z lyrics
smh

*they love*

Anonymous said...

Who cares, Camel? We already knew this.

Chrissy Snow said...

2:41 You heard about that too. Hip hop music was on it's way to selling out in the 90's but the music was still good.
Jay sold out just about EVERYONE who came out behind him. That's why I say he and his wife are two peas in a pod. It's a joke to hear them speaking out against racism and feminism.

3:02- They have been pushing for a nationwide race war since Trayvon Martin and I'm so happy it hasn't happened thus far but I think something is coming down the pike.

Anonymous said...

Yawn more blaming the black man. Anyone with a pea size brain knows what race the puppet master is.

Anonymous said...

@4:43 - Yup. A friend from undergrad interned at a small black-owned law practice in North Jersey that was handling some of the tax prep for the deal...Then all of a sudden the deal dissipated (after lots of work, research, and billable hours charged to the group.)

Word trickled down that the support they were lining up "vanished" almost overnight. Notice how almost everyone involved with the deal (Dame, Irv, Suge, and the late Chris Lighty) ended up losing almost everything including their lives and financial freedom

Notice how Jay-Z is still happy with his "nigga pennies" as long as he gets to visit the White House (when the President isn't present) go to tennis matches (siting in someone else's box) and party in the Hamptons and Bel Air (in rented houses.)

He will forever work for others when he could have been truly working for himself. He was on the cusp of real power, money, and influence with that deal but I believe deep down he knows he's not smart or doesn't believe in Black people and is scared to REALLY be in charge. He'd rather sit at the head of someone's else's table...And we can guess who that is.

Anonymous said...

^^^^Yeah but the black man chose to be a well paid pawn. Now sit your ass down

Anonymous said...

He didn't do it without it being beneficial to him on some level, now you stfd! 95% of people that will be honest is making nigga pennies and the white man is making gold bars. Wtf is new?

Anonymous said...

95% of blacks will forever be working for other races because we barely support each other! #FACTS

Anonymous said...

5:11 - I think you missed the point of 5:10's post. These were black men (not perfect but trying) to establish wealth in the community, and Jay allegedly destroyed it to curry favor with whites (which I can see him doing.)

Stop being so damn angry and try to listen. Talk about shooting the messenger!

Anonymous said...

I got to get energized to read this fool been promoting drugs for 2/3/decades NONSTOP has done his pawn part in the very successful war on drugs ...the reenslavement , free labor, our tax dollars transferrrd to their pockets for locking up our youth

Jay been encouraging and egging our youth into this, they added bey to make x to really glam and sex up drug culture we fell for it, still do...

Don't tell me y'all gone let this knocked kneed sellout coon ignorant pawn who IS broker than a joke and has been with his indebted behind..now feign some type of concern for.our plight.
.is this a joke, no just the handlers rebranding to keep him on the stroll cause he gotta drop an album joint or whatever and tour, I wonder how long he can hold it off, dang J, but big pimpin tho, I guess.

Anonymous said...

Lol at the Jay stan in here throwing a tantrum. Bottom line? NOBODY LIKES A SELLOUT. If it's ever proven that Jay killed that deal it's over for him in the rap game. But with the tea Lurker spilled recently I think he has more pressing concerns. If he can't turn a profit for TIDAL watch how quick his "friends" who invested turn on him.

Anonymous said...

Oh and stfu and stfd Jay you chose your side, you made your bed and laid where you wanted talked down on 'working men' made hustling the greatest aspiration of the purposefully dumbed down masses

Stay consistent keep with your schtick fake azz

The same Harry Belafonte that is pro-black man but anti-black woman?

Chrissy Snow said...

That's your only comeback 10:11? His wife isn't ANTI Black, she's white.
So what? Harry along with his white wife have done more for our people than Shawn and his wife who wants to be anything but black will ever do.
Now how sad is that?
Harry risked being blacklisted and lost millions in order to fight for his causes.
Have the Carters?
Don't let your love of an artists music cloud your judgement of their character. Most of the people commenting in here (including myself) at one point in time liked Jay and Beyonce but over the last couple of years the curtain that kept us from seeing their true character has been lifted and we no longer like what we see.

Anonymous said...

*Rapper Jayz's ghost wrister penned an opinion piece*

fixed it for ya.

Anonymous said...

@1:08- It wasn't a comeback, it was the truth. The love of their music? Lol

He's been alive twice as long as they have of course he's had the opportunity to do more. Jk Giving back isn't about how much one does vs someone else. Example if my friend volunteers at homeless shelters on the weekends vs me volunteering 5 days out of the week, her contributions should belittled? I'm no better because I do more, as long as we are both giving back, we are both helping. There shouldn't be a comparison of who's doing more if we're both doing.

I never said Harry B. or even Becky B. didn't do anything for the black community, I am very much aware of a lot of his contributions and they are appreciated. However; what does that have to do with my comment? When he told a BLACK woman, "I don’t want you to take me seriously because no BLACK woman can do anything for me" and “A BLACK woman would hold a black man back"; I stand by my comment! 3 different woman that I know of off of the top of my head said he said similar things, I believe them.

He can march the streets from this day forward until the world ends in support of blacks but it still doesn't negate facts on how he honestly and personally feels about black women vs white women, thus my comment. One likes to rub elbows with whites while supporting BLM while the other likes to bed and wed whites while supporting BLM. *Kanye shrugs* Why are you mad? I didn't lie on him nor talk bad about him, I just spoke the truth.

Chrissy Snow said...

I'm not going into this too much because I have been up all night and I'm tired so I'll leave it as this.
Kudos to you for helping out at a shelter, unfortunately my point flew right over your head. I wasn't comparing the two because there is no comparison. Jay Z has made no attempts to show that he stands with us. Yeah Harry (allegedly) disrespected Black women with that statement well Jay has consistently disrespected Black women all of his life both as an artist and a human being.

Funny thing is, everything you wrote in your attempt to question Harry's devotion to the betterment of Blacks also applies to the Carters.
Jay didn't marry a White woman but look at what his wife has turned into. They stay licking and lapping behind white people, selling their souls for crumbs. You can't even see that right now but you will.
There wasn't any anger or malice in my response to you so I don't understand why you would think that I'm "mad" I'm giving you my perspective as an adult.
You just keep defending the Carters but eventually, with some life experience you will see the truth. Have a wonderful weekend kiddo.

Anonymous said...

^^^Oh I don't help out at the shelter five days a week, we only help out one weekend a month that was just an example. It's not about defending the Carters as much as I was defending my factual comment. (which didn't mention them)

The Carters can donate 99% of their income to build homeless shelters, hospitals for people without insurance, a college that is free etc.... and anyone with common sense knows that still wouldn't be enough from them. It'd start with the reasons why they are doing it, it's to late, they are trying to disract people from looking at their failed businesses, blah blah blah. You have a good weekend to sweetie and I apologize for reading your comment wrong.
