Jazmine Sullivan Bashed for Tone Deaf Eulogy

R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan criticized for her insensitive Facebook eulogy of gospel singer Thomas 'TC' Clay...

Earlier this week the gospel community was shocked and saddened by the sudden death of gospel singer Thomas 'TC' Clay who was found unresponsive in his New York hotel room.

Their shock was later turned to anger after R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan acknowledged T.C.'s tragic passing by exposing how badly she curved him in life and later in death, writing "I know you still have a crush on me in heaven."

The post has since been deleted.

Ahhh, she didn't mean any harm. It's her story to tell about but I think she shared a lil too much at the wrong time..she should've wrote condolences & kept that story for her family & friends. I mean, she don't know if he had a wife(y).
Rookie mistake, sounds like she was about to submit. Now she'll never know. Stop putting off tomorrow what you can do today. RIP TC

People are too sensitive. She shared her experience with him on her social media page. Chuck it up to emotions running high because of him unexpectedly dying. Leave Jazz alone

In the beginning of her story I thought wtf! It's actually very sweet.

People love to share stories of their friends and family after they die so I didn't see Jazmine as being insensitive.
Her story however would have been better received if it were recounted verbally instead of in typed text.
And yes people are too damn sensitive.

Sounds more to me like she realizes she missed out. But this is a better story with friends and family b/c it does come off a lil full of herself.

Agreed. She realized she should've got to know him better but he died. It happens. People are weird.

After all of that she couldn't even find a picture of the two of them together to post.
smh bragging about curving a deceased man cuz he can't deny it, sad.

After ready what she wrote. I don't think she mean't any harm. She started the post off wrong and if a person says what 8:47 AM said and stops reading the "intent" gets lost in the sauce.

Furthermore when you write things on social media the cultural intent is interpeted incorrectly. She's from Philly, I'm from DC so I know exactly what she was trying to say. But his fans in other parts of the country/world may not.

I see it as mostly selfish but somewhat nice...

That was written on HER Facebook account and I saw nothing wrong with what she said. Actually, it was a bit encouraging. How no one should take anyone for granted because there may not be another tomorrow.

What's the big deal? That's HER story.

^^^Because usually people find it rude when you tell a story that's flattering to you instead of the person who passed. She made him sound sad and thirsty while she sounds like a woman who just can't help it that men can't get enough of her. Bitch, this isn't about you.
