Mary J. Blige Previews New Music

Days after Mary J. Blige announced her divorce from husband/manager Kendu Isaacs the Queen of R&B issued a bittersweet proclamation that new music would be forthcoming [click here if you missed that].

The time has come...

Over the weekend Mary J. Blige previewed her new song, 'Thick of It.'

MJB was also caught on stage this weekend absolutely pouring her heart out in ad-libs.

Now i see why they made Mary shuck and jive with Hillary , smh
It seems as though hollyweird always make the black stars do a humiliating ritual before they can release good music or art to uplift the other black folks
We are most definitely gifted people and maybe 1 day we will be able to totally excel

OT: Already luv the song! :)

I hear some Bryson Tiller in it
I wonder if he helped her produce it

I ain't't listen. The last thing I heard was Mary calling black folks simpleminded crabs in a bucket. She can't get my ear or my money going forward anymore.

I clicked in to ask if that's Mary or Beyonce? Mary has never been that light skinned, however she has stated in the past that she has skin color issues.

Sounds good to me. She really is the Queen of R n B, I think. I've never heard 1 K Michelle song, but I think she tries to pattern herself after Mary. But her, Keisha Cole, Alesha Keys, not even Fantasia (and I like Fantasia) can touch Mary. She still got it.
