Prince's Record Label Suing Roc Nation

Earlier this week news leaked that Jay Z and his music streaming service Tidal filed a petition against the estate of the late rocker Prince claiming the recent publishing deal signed with Universal Music Group violated Tidal's exclusive streaming rights to Prince's music [click here if you missed that].

In a surprising twist Prince's record label is now suing Tidal for copyright infringement...

According to reports Prince's NPG Records just filed a lawsuit against Tidal claiming Prince only authorized streaming for his last album, "Hit N Run: Phase 1," and accuses Tidal of streaming almost the entire catalogue beginning June 7, 2016, which would have been Prince's 58th birthday.

NPG Records are seeking unspecified damages.
