Zendaya's Mary Jane is Not a Love Interest

Earlier this year it was revealed that actress Zendaya Coleman had been cast as Mary Jane Watson in Spiderman: Homecoming, a role normally portrayed as Spiderman's love interest [click here if you missed that].

Not this time...

Zendaya tells The Hollywood Reporter
"My character is not romantic. My character is like very dry, awkward, intellectual and because she's so smart, she just feels like she doesn't need to talk to people, like, 'My brain is so far ahead of you that you're just not really on my level.' So she comes off very weird."
"But to me, she is very cool because she's deep. She's always thinking about something, always reading."

So you aint spider man's chick after all and white people can relax that had an issue with it. To be honest after that last reboot they need to let the franchise go.

Hollyweird keeps trying to make this odd looking girl happen. Spiderman is not going to do it.

So they color swapped her, and now her character's not a supermodel, she's a brainy nerd, which completely misunderstands the point of Mary Jane. Peter's the nerd, that's why it's surprising a girl like Mary Jane would go out with him. If they were gonna do this, why not just make Zendaya an original character instead of shitting on an established one.

More SJW bullshit, which tells me they're more interested in preaching to people as opposed to just making a good movie. you'd think they'd have learned from the Cisbusters debacle but no.
