Golden Globes Mangle Hidden Figures Title

Twice last night during the Golden Globes Awards ceremony the title to film Hidden Figures, starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monae as the Black mathematicians who helped launch the first spaceship into orbit was pronounced incorrectly during the telecast...

First by Jenna Hargar Bush who asked Pharrell about his nomination for Hidden Fences....

and then by presenter Micheal Keaton who also called the film Hidden Fences while announcing Octavia Spencer's nomination.

A video posted by Allison (@allisonseymour66) on

Hidden Figures and Fences are actually two different films staring mostly Black casts both nominated for Golden Globes.

The shade. I won't lie though, I didn't go see either film. I miss movies like Crooklyn, Boyz N the Hood, and Love and Basketball. Where Spike Lee at? The Hughes Brothers?
