Earlier this week Michael Jackson fans were outraged after UK network Sky TV released a trailer for Urban Myths starring white actor Joseph Fiennes as the King of Pop Michael Jackson [click here if you missed that].
After furious backlash the network has decided not to air the program...
In a statement released yesterday Sky explains their decision.
"We have taken the decision not to broadcast Elizabeth, Michael and Marlon, a half hour episode from the Sky Arts Urban Myths series, in light of the concerns expressed by Michael Jackson's immediate family."
"We set out to take a light-hearted look at reportedly true events and never intended to cause any offense."
"Joseph Fiennes fully supports our decision."
