Jim Jones Tears Up Over Cam'ron Feud

Earlier this week former Dip Set rapper Jim Jones announced he was now signed to his former rival Jay Z at Roc Nation [click here if you missed that].

In a new interview Jim gets emotional while talking about his loyalty to Cam'ron in the early days of Dip Set...

Speaking with Funk Master Flex Jim explains,
"Cam was the person who got signed. He was the face card. I understood that. I made sure that everyone around me understood that. He’s the prize possession. He can not be touched at all. If he get touched, we go there. And that was the method … I put my life on the line for this. I’ve been on trial for this. I’ve been on ‘America’s Most Wanted’ for this … So when people play with me, I get real emotional.”

Ain't nothing wrong with expressing emotions. Obviously, he's hurt by the break-up.

These dudes are like 40, is time to let teenage feuds and actions go. Start acting like grown men. Black men are so emotional with the shit they do, that's why they end up dead or in jail over stupid shit that when you look back at it make no sense. Look how many men we have lost to gun violence over dumb shit. Fighting over streets that don't belong to them, over colors, over jealousy, over women, over other men. Shit needs to stop and they need to grow up. I'm tired of my brothers going to jail and dying over this shit.

Most of us black dudes go through shit not even our black women understand. Traumatized, judged, underestimated, over estimated, kill or be killed, unrealistic forced expectations from others and our peers. All while mostly on a poor diet, lack of medical, lack of psychiatric care, broaching life as the perceived predator who has to drop the mandated monstrous mask for his loved ones at a moments notice to ease the conditioned fears and speculation of our women and friends. We are 2 or 3 people all at once just to have a decent day. Broke or rich we are a trilogy in a singular world. But the instant we show any emotion..."he needs to chill, he sensitive, look, he acting like we thought he would." Jimmy been in the public eye 20 years and he shead a tear yesterday expressing himself and you clown him and black men and try to give a lesson? Im not a fan and maybe he is a jerk or whatever but WE ARE VOLATILE FOR MORE THAN SMALL REASONS. So in the calmest most stoicized and firm tone...fuck you...and have a blessed day.

P.S. May you never have a black son or a black man who at any point relies on you for anything. Physical, mental or emotional.

Jim made the mistake of airing dirty laundry in social media. This relationship can be repaired behind the scenes

On a lighter note....when is this dude going to shave?

Like, seriously the homeless gruff look is getting old. Clean it up.

ON Topic: Yes, Black men do have it hard out here BUT i think it is important NOT to put ALL of them into the same box because they don't all respond the same way or handle things the same way.

Some are emotional & many are not.

Folks harp on the bad without highlighting the good and as a Black woman I'm tired of it.

All of my biological brothers are doing well

Jimmy n Cam been cool since they were born. They beef like brothers and I think it got to him and boiled in public. Hope they can work it out cause like it or not they beat a lotta odds together and fed a lotta families with Dipset.

Here's a cool pic of them at 3 years old.

Oh PLEASE. Is Jim curing cancer? Is he a brain surgeon? Does he have millions of people's lives in his hands? The only time my father would cry over a man he's not related to is at the FUNERAL. Jimmy broke into tears because he's a 40 year old rapper who was raised by a single mother, two double whammys of hyperemotionality. This is a simple business decision to support his family, Camron being his "brother" should understand that. But we aren't talking about mature men here, were talking about 40 year old RAPPERS.

@12:03

Oh, and you can bet Jay Z finds all of this amusing. No wonder he's seen as "Hov", he controls his emotions better than most people which automatically puts him above 80% of rappers.

@12:29

Using your logic, unless a black man is curing cancer or saving millions of lives (2 acts that are described in my post as "unrealistic forced expectations") then he has no business showing or even feeling emotion. Also; purely for shits and giggles, I'd like you to have your father (or any black man) read the post without telling him any of your preconceived thoughts on the subject. I will bet you your earthly soul that he agrees with it because your father; AS I SAID, "has to drop the mandated monstrous mask for his loved ones at a moments notice to ease the conditioned fears and speculation of our women and friends". I doubt that you understood my post and maybe you felt judged. That is the only reason I can see for your attempting to form some sort of "clap-back"? In either case, you have actually given a real life example of what I was trying to say. Thanks. I feel no need to address your beliefs about being raised by a single mother or how you so cavalierly describe breaking a life changing 30 year old friendship as a "simple business deal" because I don't think you have a grip of the ornate intricacies of human behavior as they relate to expression of emotion. Also, Jay-Z got the name "Hov" because he as he said on 2001 "Takeover", he's the "God M.C., me Jay-Hova".

I know that's alotta facts I just hit you with, but the truth is stubborn.

P.S. The only black man that comes to mind who has cured people of cancer, is a brain surgeon, and now with his appointment to head U.S. Education, has millions of lives in his hands is.....BEN CARSON! So as I have stated...fuck you. And have a blessed day.

@10:01

LOl, sir you take yourself WAY too seriously. I know exactly how Jay got his name, I was inferring that the true reason he is such a "god" in the rap world is because he's not hyperemotional like a majority of rappers. And yes, your post has a lot of facts pertaining to black men as a WHOLE. Too bad none of that applies to Jim Jones, an old hasbeen rapper who can't swallow his pride and get a real job to support his family. He rather side with his "brothers" enemy and make money. He's a sucker by his OWN BullShit standards, THAT is why he was crying.

@11:09

You continue to affirm a point that you clearly missed.

D L said...

@12:03 you misunderstood what I said I was not clowning him. I was talking about the people that would clown him needing to grow up. It took a lot for that man to shed tears and I can respect that. The emotional ones are going to be cam acting like a teenager over this. And I was not wrong, people will let their hate for jay z cloud how they now feel for Jim. And please a Blackman will never suffer more than a black woman and that's a fact. So miss me with that part.
