Maxwell Under Fire Over Black History Month Tweets

Last night R&B singer Maxwell sparked a conversation about Black History Month after making an insulting remark about 'typical Blacks...'

It all started with this Tweet that seemingly came out of nowhere

..until Maxwell clarified his Tweet with this

Then, after negatively trending for a while, this happened.

To which Maxwell replied

The Tweets have since been deleted.

But who was leaving Lena Horne and lighter skinned Blacks out in the first place? How did this come up? Ms. Horne's family were Civil activists in Brooklyn before she was famous, so let's talk about them challenging White/Jewish landlords re: rights to clean and well-maintained housing Google her comments on being Black at MGM and her hopes that ALL Black people understand that we're just Black to White people in power, so we need to stop squabbling amongst ourselves on some silly sh*t, which this is. Maxwell is confused-sounding, and I hope the woman coming for his neck is equally as bold when confronting white supremacists.

Maxwell can be so defensive at times. I think he's bitter towards black people in general for the same reason that Miguel is, they don't feel comfortable coming out the closet when the their fanbase basically consists of the black community. They both need to get over it as well as their "mixed" complexes.

I tell you about these "new" blacks.

He is one of those singers that don't want to be defined by their Blackness ... until it is time for albums to be sold then they want us standing in line. They want to chastise Black people for being Black so non Blacks will embrace them but they want us to keep buying their trash.
He sounds just like a stupid white man talking about "typical Black"
Screw his drug addled ass.

Maxwell's response alone somewhat confirms the bottom bussy boy rumors.

@11:55

Max is gay and it's not a rumor (Ask Nas or Swizz Beatz). He won't come out because his fanbase is black women and he knows they don't want to hear that shit. Every blue moon he makes these off-colored comments that reveals his true self.

Maxwell is biracial, bisexual, and also on drugs (allegedly/?) How have I missed this? (The bisexual thing was pretty clear, but the drugs thing? Didn't he and Nas go on vacation recently? Oh no!)

^ Nas got a big cock with his pretty self.

Anybody been to a Maxwell concert? He plays a video of women behind him while he sings the love songs, presumably the object of beauty and desire. They're all white. . .

He meant that we come in all shades, black people. Some things should not be tweeted cause it doesn't have the same context as if it were spoken. Saying typical black, as some who is not black would say it. "Oh you're black!? You don't look like a regular black".

It's a well-oiled machine; pander to black women/people until you get money/recognition and then switch up...
