The REAL Reason Tamron Hall Walked Away

Last month news anchor Tamron Hall turned down a multi-million dollar contract to stay on with NBC after being forced out of her morning slot to make room for former Fox contributor Megyn Kelly [click here if you missed that].

Now insiders are explaining why Tam walked away...

From People Mag
Multiple sources tell PEOPLE that Hall was equal parts furious, hurt and offended that she was essentially losing her highest profile role to Kelly, with nothing being offered in its place. Hall saw the move as a “demotion...”
As for Hall’s final decision to move on, “She wasn’t going to settle for sitting on the sidelines,” says the Hall source.

I hope she writes a book on her career so I can buy it. I love supporting Black women with dignity and strong back bones.

I'm usually all for cashing a check, but this was an insult and Tamron was smart to walk away. She can do better than what they were offering.

Prediction: Fat, white, saggy Middle American housewives who watch daytime TV are not going to want to see Megyn Kelly during the day. She's wooden and rough around the edges without Roger Ailes propping her up so she'll flounder and Hoda and Kathy-Lee will end up with 3 hours of programming.

Ok Snitch, we already knew this was the reason. NBC gave her a contract with a demotion that they knew she would refuse. I'm a professional and it happened to me at my last job and I walked away from the job with shocked faces behind me.
She did the right thing! Never allow people to underestimate, under appreciate and marginalize you! We do too much of that in everyday life. How do you allow NBC to demote you when you have the #1 hour of the TODAY show? Damn them! Good for her!

She is a sister with integrity, intelligence and class who is very much aware of herself worth! So glad that she did not allow corporate America to define her future. God will open more doors for her!

Snitch...we been knew this. YOu didn't need validation from People...and 8:48 is correct, Tamaron did the right thing, she stood up for herself and chunked dueces. Moves like that will garner bigger and better opportunities. Never let yourself sit and be disrespected.
