Colin Kaepernick Ends National Anthem Protest

Last year NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the National Anthem before games to protest the killings of unarmed Black men by police officers with no recourse [click here if you missed that].

Colin has officially ended his protest...

According to reports Colin Kaepernick, who has been quietly notifying teams that he will be entering free agency, has also confirmed he will not be kneeling during the National Anthem next season because he “no longer wants his method of protest to detract from the positive change that he believes has been created.”

What positive changes have been created? Ain't nothing change to me. Tbh he only probably did this for the attention of being in the media and on blogs. Because nobody really knew him before all this.

Um, he started a dialogue on the nature of civil and human rights in this country. People started 'really' thinking about Civil Liberties and if Black people are truly equal in the country we built. Someone line 7:22 might need to hear to from a white man for it to hold weight, so this is what Chris Long said:

"I'll make it pretty clear: I support my peers in exercising their right to protest," Long said. "This is a wonderful country, and I think everyone agrees on that, but there are things in our country that can improve. I don't think that by acknowledging, as a white male, that America isn't the same for me, maybe, as it is for everybody, the same great place, that we're complicit in the problem, or that we're saying America isn't a great place."

Colin Kapernick, anti-Trump people, Klan members, and PETA all have the right to protest in this country. We may not like or agree with what they think or say, but a threat to their rights is a threat to all of our rights in the long run. Threats to civil rights start small, and the next thing you know they've snowballed and you can't travel freely or own a cell phone. #Venezuela.

Well he couldn't keep it up forever. I admire the young man for his efforts but he had very little support among his peers. This was the perfect opportunity for athletes and entertainers to join together and make a change. Unfortunately, the men who sign their paychecks forbade it and Colin was left to fight alone. White media crucified Colin and instead of standing beside him, Blacks in the mainstream media decided to discuss his racial background and whether he was "Black enough" to speak out. With such divisive energy surrounding him Colin never had a chance to win.
Also Colin was a Superbowl QB during very early in his career. He didn't do this to gain attention for himself. His acts of protest will cost him money. There are a lot of teams out there who may not want to deal with him at all.

@7:22 He bite the hand that fed him - dumb. He could of protested in other beneficial ways but then again one would have to have a brain.

This entire protest was concocted because Colin was abt to get cut before last season. He tried free agency before the protest and no other team wanted his bum ass! So to keep from getting fired he started the bullshit protest, hence keeping him employed but still on the bench as the highest paid backup QB in the league. Had the 49'ers fired him he could play the race card and make it seem like they fired him because of the "protest" and not the fact that dude is a HORRIBLE Quarterback!

You people are so easily mislead and hoodwinked by these fake ass Social Justice Warriors and BLM/Open Society Foundation, it's really pathetic. I can only attribute their success due to low IQ's and an uneducated target group!

Congrats Colin, you created dialogue, you changed the conversation, and you saw it through. I'm proud of you.

Lol he only went this far because of all the black pussy that was getting thrown his way for speaking about the mistreatment of negroes. Niggas got short attention span and got wishy washy so once niggas stop supporting and hyping him up on social media now he wanna quit.

This is not a race thing. It's a species thing. Squidward Tentacles had to return to Bikini Bottom sometime soon. Marine animals can't survive on land.

He lost me when he revealed that he didn't vote. The most effective protest is at the ballot box. Now we are stuck with fraudulent 45 who wants to send the National Guard into low income communities, ban people of certain religious faiths from entering the country, strip us of our fundamental right to vote, continue the profit driven private prison industry, ETC . How in the hell is that change? Dumb ass!!

Notice the term "race card" used above? We have a white supremacist in our midst here on the blog...Ugh.

3:26 No he's Biracial. Call him what he is.

Self serving ahole. He never did it for the right reasons. He did it to keep himself from being cut/benched last year because the 49ers would be accused of racism if they did. Now that the year is over and they can safely cut him because he has sucked after his first year, now he wants to look good for the next team. This is why people don't take racism movements seriously.
