Forest Whitaker Producing Angela Davis Biopic

Last year news leaked that a biopic about civil rights activist Angela Davis was in the works [click here if you missed that].

Actor Forest Whitaker comes aboard as a producer...

From Variety
Forest Whitaker has joined Codeblack Films’ untitled Angela Davis biopic movie project as an executive producer, Variety has learned.
Lionsgate’s Codeblack acquired the movie rights last year to “Angela Davis: An Autobiography” and set up the project with Nina Yang Bongiovi, whose credits include “Fruitvale Station,” which Whitaker also produced, and “Dope.” Sidra Smith, a producer on the 2012 documentary “Free Angela and All Political Prisoners,” and Codeblack Enterprises CEO Jeff Clanagan are also serving as producers on the project.
Davis and her niece will serve as co-executive producers.

This is the natural hair that I grew up with. Back in the day we called them bushes I think it is so beautiful.

Beyonce (Lawd NO!) Can I upvote you 1,000,000 on this???
Rihanna - accent too heavy
Zendaya - not a good actress, but cute
That biracial chick that played Storm in the new X-Men. - she's so bad we don't know her name
Zoe Kravitz - can't act and isn't her mother.
Some overrated white actress in blackface
Zoe Saldana - we all know why!!
That tranny from Orange is the New Black - agreed!!!

^^^I agree! And also get someone with a REAL natural and not those STOOPID ass costume wigs like the ones they wear whenever there is a throwback scene or a 70's party.
Hell cast me---I can blow out a natural, bangin 'fro!

Please Forrest don't try to play someone in their teens or twenties. I'm still traumatized from The Butler.

LMAO at the comments.....Dr. Davis herself is co-executive producing, so I don't think we have to worry with the casting. Like when Aretha said she wanted Halle to play her LMAO.

Zoe Kravitz would do a great job.
