T.D. Jakes Show Gets the Axe

Back in December Bishop T.D. Jakes and Tamar Braxton had a good ki-ki after he joked about day time talk show The Real struggling in the ratings since firing Tamar [click here if you missed that].

Looks like T.D. was the one struggling...

According to multiple reports the T.D. Jakes show has been canceled after just six months due to horrible ratings.

Meanwhile The Real has been picked up for a 4th season.

Maybe 2017 will see the end of "prosperity" preachers and the naive people who support them will put their money under their mattresses rather than in shady church collection plates.

Not all churches are bad, but Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Paula White, and the late Eddie Long are/were flat out hustlers.

We have a prosperity preacher in the white house.

For some reason, I sense sincerity from Jake's. I am the first to admit most ministers are spiritual pimps, I just don't feel it from him.

I DON'T TRUST HIM.

This show was okay. It was just kind of boring. He got some really big names to come on but they wanted to talk religion, spirituality and God and he was trying to be more secular. And I agree with @11:43. TD Jakes seems sincere. I can't say that for Creflo or Osteen.

He had knowledg about Bishop Eddie Long's behavior...that's why he didn't do the euology at his funeral.

Maybe he should have passed on that 'blessing' from Tyler Perry

I've always found TD Jakes to be sincere. The Paula Whites and Creflo Dollars of the world, not so much. I didn't know about this show tho. I'd see clips of his words from it online but I thought it was a segment they aired on one of the Christian cable channels or something.

I think it was in poor taste for him to joke about 'The Real' and their "rating drop" tho. Oh, and someone said above that he was trying to make the show secular whole guest wanted to talk about God and spirituality. I think he would hs for more success focusing on God and spirituality. May have lost a key part of his demographic.
