Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez found handing in his jail cell...

From The NY Daily News
Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez killed himself in prison on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The former tight end, 27, was found hanging in his cell at Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley Mass., according to the state’s Department of Correction.
“Mr. Hernandez was in a single cell ina general population unit,” the department said in a statement. “Mr. Hernandez hanged himself utilizing a bedsheet that he attached to his cell window. Mr. Hernandez also attempted to block his door from the inside by jamming the door with various items.”
Just last week Aaron Hernandez beat a double murder case while serving time for an unrelated murder and his new attorney Jose Baez vowed to have the other conviction overturned.

Shocking! I wasn't expecting him to go out like this

What a strange ending to this story. His poor daughter is now faced with the legacy of her father's violence and cowardice.

Actually, the timing is quite suspicious!!!

Nothing he did made sense..

Not condoning or supporting what he did or didn't do but I am also shocked by this. He never appeared to show any emotions until his not guilty verdict.

He ain't even black but this a celebrity black blog. I guess whatever floats your boat.

Cant survive jail, don't break the law! said...

Nothing more cowardice than offing yourself. If you aren't in constant pain from a terminal illness you have no reason to take your own life. Stand up and be a man! All he's done is taken years off his mama's life bc she will be the true sufferer in this.

Life without parole is a hard pill to swallow. I wonder if any real friends or family ever "checked" him for the silly shit he was doing. Because he was involved in a lot of juvenile type shit with his boyz prior to killing Lloyd.

8:12 ~ There was talk that the other case would indeed be overturned as well as allegations of possible prosecutorial misconduct and evidence tampering in the initial case. Hernandez was no saint, but he had the money and notoriety to shine a light on the court system's flaws. Don't believe the hype, people. The story probably goes way deeper than we think.

This is not a "conspiracy theory" just facts. Look at the cases in that jurisdiction that have been overturned in the past 15 years then make a decision. Don't let the media paint a picture for you.

@8:50....my guess is no...it was all fun & games spending his money and living fast until the shit hit the fan. Or maybe he was a knuckehead that you couldn't talk to. My money is on enablers

This makes no sense. He just beat the double murder case and the case that got him life was going to be appealed. Not to mention he has Kasey Anthony attorney so we kknow he probably was gonna beat that too. Something happened but, I aint buying suicide.

9:07 ~ Bill Belichick and Urban Meyer were his biggest enablers.

8:54 & 9:09 you're right. Killing himself now makes absolutely no sense.

Anonymous said...

IF he did the crime he was NOT gonna walk. How in the world do you people think he was gonna get a not guilty plea if you don't know if he was in fact guilty? Where's the logic in that? A new trial don't mean you'll walk free. If he knew he committed the crime I can see him taking this way out.

Anonymous said...

Do you think family and friends were going to allow the alleged murderer to go free - nope and he knew it.

Anonymous said...

I understand that jail is a hopeless place, but he just beat a double murder rap. His lawyer was trying to appeal the original conviction. His fiancee and his young daughter came to court to support him. To me that is HOPE...therefore his suicide is puzzling to say the least...

9:16 we're talking about issues bigger than a new trial. When alleged police and prosecutorial misconduct are uncovered, it calls into question all the cases tried by those prosecutors and ALL evidence gathered by ALL the people working on cases within a certain time frame.

We're talking millions of dollars and potential settlements and ruined careers for people whom are judges and elected officials now. Look at the bigger picture. The timing is quite...interesting.

Very sad situation all the way around. May God be merciful.

I believe he knew he wasn't going to walk. As a parent watching his 4yr old in court and having her visiting him in prison put things in perspective for him.

I visited my best friend in the town he went to college in, while he was in college. Urban Meyer and others knew he was violent and loved guns.

There were reports he pulled a gun on another student. I believe bellichick knew exactly what kind of person he was drafting.

Terrible legacy to saddle daughter with. She wasn't even born before he went to jail. Her only memories will of him incarcerated. My sympathy is for her.

8:54 I hear you but most of us only believe what whitey tells them and shows them.

Ron said...

I don't believe he committed suicide!!

Chrissy Snow said...

I am leaning that way too @Ron. This guy was still claiming "thug life" after he was sentenced to life for killing a Black man. Why would he kill himself two years into that sentence with a chance of it being overturned. Why now?
@9:32 That all sounds very plausible. Thing is, none of us care enough about this dumb ass to investigate any misconduct from the authorities.

Gossip and judgement.Humans are becoming ridiculous with just saying anything about anybody.
I feel for his daughter. RIP

@932
The flood gates would have opened with appeals, once any wrongdoing on the part of prosecutors or judges was found. #Truth

This is so strange...a man who just beat a double murder case, killed himself?..something is a bit off about that. It had to be something deeper, maybe the spirits of those dead men were haunting him (they claimed he kill himself around 3am, which is known in the spiritual word as the "Dead Hour" when the spirits and demons walk the earth) or maybe Aaron had some kind of mental illness. Whatever it was we probably will never know. A person who wants to commit suicide will do it at the 1st opportunity they get, how was that Aaron was in prison for almost 4 years and all of sudden now he decides to take his own life? No one will ever look into it b/c he was a convicted murderer and that is probably why this happened. #StayWokeFolks

I agree Ron (11:20), he was smiling away in court only a week ago. I suspect someone offed him.

9:11

no, he was HIS own biggest enablers.

you need to take responsibility FOR YOURSELF.

this fool was good looking with $40M in the bank, playing for the biggest sports team in the NFL.

he fucked that up.

he couldn't leave the hood shit behind.

Another thought. Maybe he did commit suicide. According to the prosecutors he killed Oldin Lloyd because of what he may have known about the double murder that he was recently acquitted of. Now unless ol boy testified he may have beat the case without killing him. Then he would be free, playing football and with his wife and young child. Maybe that guilt did it

@ 8:12 , 8:54 ,9:32 & 12:18 EXACTLY !!!

A couple of weeks ago I watched a crime show where a PROSECUTOR was working overtime to KNOWINGLY keep the wrongly convicted person behind bars and did All kinds of criminal stuff to suppress evidence and EVEN paid fir the living arrangements of the False Witnesses!!!!!

Thankfully the Defense attorney was A LOT smarter than them and uncovered all the BS.

The prosecutor got busted & ruined their career. In their final interview they looked like they had been drinking a lot.

I do NOT believe that he committed suicide.

@ 8:46 Cowards don't Off themselves.

Suicide is not right or Moral.

But make no mistake it takes a lot of to actually DO this.
You have to be completely Resolute and Lose all Fear of death & the afterlife.
Or just mentally snap.

You have to be strong willed or crazy to do it

Cowards are fearful but Suicide is fearless

There is an interesting article saying he was depressed bc no one came to see him at his recent trial, even his former team mates who were close by. And then his money was dwindling, especially after having to pay his lawyers.

For someone with athleticism, good looks, $money, mansions, family, wife, child and everything else money can buy, did he not have Jesus as his Savior? If you are fortunate enough to even reach that plateau of success, know that forces of Satan stand in your face everyday hoping to take it all away. Truly sad seeing his distraught little girl sitting in the courtroom but thank God she got to see him for the last time.

This was the only thing he ever stood up as a man and followed through. Life isn't some game, gangbanging or playing Pro-Balling... He was pretending up to the final act. Yo...all you bloods, crips, and purple gangs, 1000 Wackazzes, and the rest of you bumbleclots protecting colours and zones....you're a F-kg Joke. This man had it all, and what do he find out...some backward Song of Solomon moment of clarity. All the gold, all the money and it's ilk ain't worth shit....if life isn't the end result. Stop surviving, and learn to live to be old black men, that's the real struggle. Watching grandchildren learn to walk and dropping dead with the beauty of it all with bald gray hair gone straight cause the KINKY done gone south.

RIP young confused Aaron brother. There is peace for everyone, not only real 'G's

At 1:46 PM - "....A person who wants to commit suicide will do it at the 1st opportunity they get, how was that Aaron was in prison for almost 4 years and all of sudden now he decides to take his own life?"

Exactly! I don't know how folks didn't pick up on that. If he really wanted to end his life, he would have done it years ago. Why now, all of a sudden after he had beaten a double murder case? It doesn't make sense. I'm not buying the suicide story. I personally think that he was murdered. The clues and missing pieces are not adding up. Something is not right.

You live by the sword, you die you the sword.

Hopefully he made it right with God in his heart and repented.

Just exactly added up right in this man's life before he ended the game he was playing by himself inside his head?

You people speak as if this man was a shining example of good choices. WTF, GTFOH.

RIP. I'm sure you're happier dead than stuck behind some bars and walls.
