Chris Brown Fails to Deliver for Blackish

Chris Brown guest starred on an episode of Blackish this week but Team Breezy didn't show up to watch...

According to reports ratings for Blackish were flat this week hovering just below 5 million viewers. Chris Brown's appearance was expected to provide a much needed bump in ratings.

So it's Chris fault that ratings are down? I didn't even know he was going to be on the show - I wonder how they advertise it. I haven't watched the show in a long time but it's not a bad sitcom. I just forget that is comes on.

i want the pre-beatdown, doublemint, no tats Chris back, but grown up. he looks like a clown.

@Aye

Anytime a major celeb guest stars on a show you can be sure the main purpose is to boost ratings. That or the celeb is cool with the director and decided to do a favor.

Chris is now a hasbeen. I predict him going out like Bobby Debarge.

Chris Brown is nowhere near being a "hasbeen", but I am damn happy I didn't buy a ticket to his upcoming tour early.

@9:55 True, but you can't solely blame him, the ratings were down before him and they usually promote it harder but I didn't see anything, then again when I watch TV I watch a lot of other things. Do people even care a lot about celebrity appearances on shows like they use to - Empire has milked that cow flat and I'm sick of that show. I haven't watched Blackish in forever, not because it isn't good. Yeah, I like the old Chris without the braids and him looking sickly.

I love Blackish, but the viewing time (9:30) is smack dab in the middle of primary 9:00 shows, so I often forget about it and have to watch it on Demand - but it's great show

I just watched this episode today. The episode was cute. Like some other comments on here, I tend to forget about Blackish but unlike some others, I still consistently watch. I don't watch shows on the night of. I usually wait to watch on Saturdays like today. Chris Brown's acting was flat and blah. And to answer someone's question, no, it's no longer a big deal to see a celeb on a TV show. They are so overexposed on social media that it's not like we don't see them all the time now.

So we're not going to talk about how he turned that black girl into a white girl in the commercial? Okay

I never liked this show. My wife and kids did it better JMO. Anthony Anderson has always been corny to me.

@11:54 I noticed that too I was like what in the world is that all about???

God, he looks awful! SMH. It almost makes me want to shed a tear. When I think back to how young, talented and refreshing he had looked when he first hit the scene in 2005, and you compare that to how he looks and acts now? It doesn't even seem like the same person anymore. He had so much promise, so much much talent. All of that has wasted away. What a damn shame. SMH.

I think blackish would do better on a different night, earlier time. This past episode was actually on point. I'm glad they showed that scene with the black woman being "upgraded" into a white woman. The point was to show how coon-ish and ridiculous these guys are with that mess.

I was surprised to see him because they didn't promote his appearance all.

BTW @11:54 and @ 3:05, that was one of the points in the episode.

Why can't he speak clearly anymore? Ole Slurry mouth.
He reminds me of a crackhead.

I really wish he would stop whatever it is he's doing and get clean. He's too damn talented to keep going down this path. SMH

@5:39, I guess you and I are the only ones who got the message of the episode lol. It's clear from the comments on here that people didn't watch the full episode. The fake ad that Dre came up with was later changed because the initial one was degrading to Black people and could taint young impressionable minds.

Side-note: I thought My Wife and Kids was corny. I watched all of 5 episodes back in the day. Blackish is much more witty and funny. All of this is of course, subjective.

What did he play? A crack head bum?

@8:22pm thank you! People kill me with their opinions but do not take the time out to read, view or listen before blasting it. If you watched the episode you wouldn't get upset about the "white girl" commercial. Blackish always has a message..so don't view it based on a 5sec snippet. Also I'm a Breezy fan and honestly didn't know he was on there...he didn't promote it nor did the Blackish cast and crew. People should definitely stop and at least view couple of shows before labeling it as corny.

the nose job and nose candy have helped destroy his looks. The Chris Brown we knew is long dead and gone. He was left on the operating table. This chris brown is an unrelenting psychopath and a Trump junior.
