Coming to America Sequel Rumors Heat Up

Last month a verified Eddie Murphy Twitter account teased fans about a possible Coming to America sequel before the account was mysteriously deleted and the rumors denied [click here if you missed that].

Apparently that Twitter account was on to something...

According to reports Paramount Pictures just hired the original writers from Coming to America to pen the sequel and producers are already attached to the project.

No word if Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall or James Earl Jones are involved.

If they decide to do it make sure you do it right! That's all I'm saying because the first one is a classic

IF those 3 aren't involved then its not even gonna be worth it.

The most important person other than Eddie is Director John Landis... Saying all of that, they should leave this movie alone. No need for a sequel. Too much time has passed.

Eddie Murphy is so underrated as an artist and hasn't been given his just due. How many Essence or Image Award shows do we have to watch before he is honored?

That man was the soundtrack of the childhood to everyone born between 1970-1984. Hell, aside from Friday and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, the funniest movies of all time belong to him! Think about all the movies between Delirious and Boomerang. CLASSICS!

We have not done right by Eddie Murphy. Don't wait for him to die, honor him while he's here!

Eddie Murphy sacrificed his brother Charlie Murphy. Of course now hellywood beams the spotlight back on Eddie. Didn't Eddie Murphy steal this movie and settle out of court? Fuck Eddie Murphy!
