Isaiah Thomas' Son Opens Up About Being Raped

Former NBA star Isaiah Thomas' son Zeke opens up about surviving rape, twice...

ABC Breaking News | Latest News Videos

The son of basketball great Isiah Thomas. Choosing to go public with private information about himself in hopes that his story will help others.
My name is zeke Thomas. And I am a survivor.
Reporter: This morning, 28-year-old deejay and music producer Zeke Thomas is appearing in this new PSA for sexual assault awareness month.
The path is not always a straight line. And you don't need to do it alone.
Reporter: And sharing something deeply personal. Publicly. For the very first time. How is it for a young man to have to stand up and say, you know what? I was raped.
Being gay. Being African-American. It's definitely something that -- I never imagined would happen to me.
Reporter: When was the first time you were victim?
The first time that I was a victim was when I was 12 years old. And then it happened again. Last year. Last February. When it happened again, I was terrified. I really felt that my manhood had been taken from me.
Reporter: You did not press charges.
In pressing charges, the first thing that came to my mind was being labeled. A victim. Being put on the public record, the public stage. I wasn't ready. I just wasn't ready.

Something was definitely going wrong at both Magic and Isaiah's homes when their kids were growing up. Read between the lines of what this young man is saying. EJ doesn't know if he's gay, trans, or a hamster, and Zeke was raped by unnamed people. Where were their mothers!?

We all know what Eddie, Arsenio, Magic, Sugar, and the late Jermaine Stewart were allegedly doing in the late 80s/Early 90s at Magic's mansion parties...

I feel bad for him.

Ok this ish is getting too bizarre. Back in the day Zeke and Magic used to do that weird kiss on the cheek thing before games. They are both very suspect in my book and NOW BOTH of flaming gay sons that are there namesake....this is STRANGE

Black people will always blame the victim and their parents. In my neighborhood its numerous kid randomly playing everywhere. You all don't ask where is their parents then. Stop being extra

1:04 ~ It's not unfair to infer that something odd is/was going on in the sexual dynamics of those children's homes and backgrounds. Perhaps read a few scholarly articles on generational sexual abuse instead of spouting uninformed opinions and then come back and see us. This is not a question of race; It's a question of cycles of abuse and a culture of silence. Here are some articles to get you started:

That poor man. I hope his attackers rot in hell.
Where the hell were his parents? They should have protected him.

how you get raped twice?

Anonymous said...

^^^You get raped twice by being in unsafe environments, either by design or because you've been groomed and have the earmarks of a victim to a predator. As 12:46 said, where were his parents? Or is there more to the story than meets the eye?

Brave young man. Telling your darkest truths openly can be a gift and a curse. I wish him well on his journey of coping. Its not his fault its the maggot muthafukas that took advantage.

When did black folks Stop teaching their children safety?!?!?! As kids we never understood why our parents tripped over small shit like sleeping over a friends house or going outside before Noon....They knew the dangers that possibly lurked.

@1:34...I thought my parents were the worst. I couldn't sleep over anyone's house and no one was sleeping over our house. Hell my pops wouldn't even let us play football in the yard (ie lawsuit). I thought they were mean but now I understand they were being responsible!!

I was a victim numerous times by various folks
1st time was by a neighbor who was gay when I was around 6 or 7 yrs old
My mom was around and was a good mom
But I though I was suppose to keep things like that a secret And to be honest I was ashamed
When I began to tell, people would say that I was lying
So I began keeping the things that happened to my to myself
I finally told my mom around age 30
To oome to find out, she was gang raped by both blak and ytes back in day
And possibly molested by her dad
(My mom left home at age 11)
When she left home she was sexually abused a lot
But Im so proud Mom bus she raised me with good morals, good work ethics
And I thank God she never brought boyfriends or differnt men home over me
Or let aman in the house to abuse me
Most abuse happened outside the house

If my mother never told me she suffered from abuse
I would have never had known it
Bcus she lived a clean upright life raising me
I wished I had male relatives could have protected me But I heard in some stories
some male relatives are not right
But it is what is

I read stories of worse things happening to others in foreign countries
So Im grateful
Not asking for sympathy, I just understand when others might have gone through it

I feel bad for all rape victims. But my heart goes out to many male rape victims because sadly in our toxic society, people find humor in male rape.

@1:37

Dang my parents didn't allow sleepovers at all. I didn't understand until I got older. I thanked my parents for that because I had a friend who was raped during a sleepover.

Oh so now suddenly rape is real. If this was a girl like the one Nicki Minaj brother raped repeatedly she would be all kinds of hoes that asked for it with her fast ass.

Anonymous said...

^^ Or the ones Bill Cosby allegedly drugged and raped, then all them hoes is just lying and need to STFU.

Very brave

@12:47 I claim B.S.!! Jermaine Stewart CLEARLY told them that didn't have to take their clothes off to have a good time!! He just wanted some Cherry wine, that is all.

Lmao@ 5:16 😂😂😂😂

Magnus 21 Gunz said...

Maybe Jermaine's song was more of a plea, than a declaration.

Coko Shari said...

Wow what an awful experience for him to endure. SMH

@114

Bitch.....please STFU and thanks in advance. You have no idea what their home lives were like but you're being presumptive based on reading some "scholarly articles". GTFOH...you have no inside knowledge and don't know shit!! Spittin' that bullshit out like you got receipts outside of the "scholarly articles".

Men in the Military get raped ALL the time. You're 18 or 20 years old fresh young meat going into the Military away from friends and family and the sexual predators could be your commanding officer or team members or both. You thought women soldiers had a hard time being believed and protected when they come forward about rape...image a male soldier coming forward. People think soldiers that come home and have PTSD is because of the combat and death they saw but some it of is due to being raped. GOOGLE it.

'Where were his parents???' some of you ask. In the next room ignoring his cries for help. I know most of you are sheep and asleep, but you all can't be that jaded. It's just how things are done in those circles. There is a price to be paid to maintain one's standing amongst TPTB, wake up.

9:29, you sound really ignorant right now (and I'm not even 1:14.) Using curse words to communicate? You probably didn't understand what they wrote and got mad. And yes 9:33, Military Rape is an epidemic no one wants to discuss.
