Lee Daniels Tapped for Terms of Endearment Remake

Director Lee Daniels is working on a remake of Terms of Endearment starring Oprah Winfrey and Kerry Washington...

From Variety
...There’s also a new version of “Terms of Endearment,” starring Winfrey and Kerry Washington in the roles played by Shirley MacLaine and Debra Winger.
Daniels is setting it in the ’90s — and Washington’s character will fall ill of AIDS, not cancer, thanks to her husband “being on the D.L.”

pure wackness...you cannot do better than the original. this needs to just go on lifetime like when they re-did steel magnolias, black version. WACK!!!

Why do black people keep redoing great white films? First that boring Steel Magnolias remake, then that shitty Beaches remake, now this? And Lee's reaching for that "Christian", Tyler Perry crowd with that AIDS angle smh

Leave that classic movie alone. Niggas fuck it up every time

Lifetime already did this with Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Felicia Rashad. Why would they need a remake of a remake. Shit is stupid.

What is up with black-a-fying all these older white movies? You mean to tell me with all talented writers, actors and directors out there they can't come up with original ideas? Well damn.
