Little Bill on the Most Banned Book List

Bill Cosby's children's book series Little Bill is one of the most banned books in America...

According to a list compiled by the American Library Association the Little Bill book series ranks no.9 on the 2016 list of books banned from public libraries and the only one on the list because of “criminal sexual allegations against the author.”

The no.1 book on the list, young adult novel “This One Summer,” was banned over its inclusion of LGBT characters, drug use and profanity.

The list is compiled based on 323 challenges reported to the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom. About 10 percent of the reported challenges resulted in the removal of the book.

Good. Remove books by oppressive men ie racists and misogynists and clean Pill Cosby from the shelves immediately.

That's a damn shame they did Bill Cosby like that and we as black people cheered it on. SMDH we weren't there and don't know what happened. On another note I bought my little boy a shirt that the little boy wears on the show and my son loved the shirt so much I had to buy two. I thought that was sooooo cute.

Black people stop following white folks and what they do because they hate you.

Defending a rapist just because he's black and hating gay people is exactly the culture of this website. You should find some shame.

@12:04

Exactly.

But you know how niggas are. This is why the black community is digressing.

I am not defending rapists but i hate the weirdos from the lgbt mafia.
They are ugly inside and out.
They are freaks who basicly hate women but desperately want to look like us whitout never achieving it.This is why They hate us.

~ Bill is wrong as two left shoes, but why are there still books by and about Cardinal Ratzinger who allowed and covered up child sex abuse in the Catholic Church as well as no information about the Franklin Cover-up?

~ Why do the movies of Bryan Singer still open to big numbers? Why is he still allowed to direct the X Men franchise?

~ Why is Jeffrey Jones (The principal from "Ferris Bueller" allowed to work after he was convicted on child porn charges and failure to update his sex offender registry info?

~ When is the last time you've heard white people publicly call out a white man for bad behavior? At your job, in your neighborhood, in the media, white people are SILENT on the bad behavior and misdeeds of white men

^^^^Yup 3:04. If we're going to be calling people out on sex abuse and rape, call everyone else out too! And "The Virgin" is correct, but needs to look at the bigger picture.

African (black) people, please stop. There is no sense and no use in defending this clown. With his sick, twisted sense of humor the joke just may be on all of us. How do we know that Little Bill isn't actually his own 'Little Bill' and he knows that most of us probably haven't figured that out yet?

I don't care how much he has done for others, specifically those of his own race, that would not exempt him from doing unscrupulous things, like victimizing others. He's already admitted to some of the things he's been accused of. That should show how he can get down when the cameras aren't rolling. Did he really think that he could get away with whatever he wanted to because he's a celebrity with a lot of money? Well, if he was of a different complexion that might be the case.

As far as other media (books, film, articles, etc.) being banned because those behind the media may, or do, have a checkered history, I guess the best that any of us can do is make others aware of this when we discover it and encourage others not to support it. Otherwise some may never know and unwittingly end up putting time, money, and intellect behind something that they probably shouldn't.
