Aaron Hernandez Suicide Note Released

Last month news leaked that former New England Patriot and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez left three suicide notes behind after killing himself in prison [click here if you missed that].

The one addressed to his fiancé has surfaced online...

According to reports Aaron alludes to killing himself to take advantage of a Massachusetts law that states if a person dies before all appeals are exhausted the person is presumed innocent, allowing his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, to collect his survivor benefits from the Patriots.

At the end of the note Aaron cryptically tells Shayanna to take care of his boys because 'you're rich.'

Most insurance policies don't pay out if you commit suicide. I wouldn't be surprised if the Patriots put that clause in their agreement, too.

@9:02pm Agreed... If I were her I wouldn't get to excited just yet! The Patriots are known for their trickery..i.e Tom Brady.

I am so sick of them reporting on this story. Okay he was a man who was once a football star, he fell from stardom, possibly murdered someone and now he is gone. Arizona press appears to have nothing else to talk about and who cares whether she gets money. Can we get to the next story please......

I feel extremely uneasy reading something so personal to someone else. I realize he was a public figure, but it's just not right to have this letter available for public view. What could people without personal attachment really do with this? Have some decorum even if no one else does.

@9:32pm, I agree. However, people who have no lives or decorum will continue to want to know about someone else is doing as bad as they are in this thing called life.....we all have a number, we just don't know what our number is.

Actually, suicide is paid on life insurance policies. Usually there is a time limit, as in, if you commit suicide within the first 2 years of the policy, it won't be paid, but after that, it will be paid. And because she isn't married to him she isn't responsible for any civil suits or debts.

9;36 I don't get the sense of any enjoyment being taken from this. I think we all are trying to understand what could have gone so wrong in this young mans life to make him resort to murder AFTER he got out. The country reacted the same during the OJ trial. No enjoyment, just bewilderment and curiosity.

BTW: Am I the only person who suspects the fiancee was paid to release this note?

Why does the media keep removing his dimples from his face? This child had dimples knee-deep. I first noticed it on CNN.

There's no trickery. The Patriots will not pay this man's estate a single penny. He WAS IN PRISON at the time of his death. IDC what law wipes it all away when a person dies. At the time of his death, he was not just crossing the street to do volunteer work. He was in prison for murder.

Shay may as well dust off those resumes and send lil Shafeeka to the bus stop. If I were in charge (his team), the family would never see a dime. Thanks to him, this law will possibly be re-written.

Y'all doing too much for these criminals, their legacies, etc. He was a cold blooded gang banging killer. Phuck whatever family he left behind penniless, due in part to his bad decisions and lack of estate planning.
