Lyor Cohen Suing Travis Scott

Music exec Lyor Cohen suing rapper Travis Scott for breach of contract...

According to reports Travis Scott's former manager Lyor Cohen is suing for breach of contract claiming he's owed 15% of every dime Travis made since signing a 3-year deal with Lyor back in 2014.

Lyor is demanding a thorough accounting of Travis' income and believes he is owed upwards of $2 million.

Travis left Lyor's LCAR management one year after signing the deal.

Lesson, have a good lawyer read your contract before signing anything. Travis is in it now and Lyor is allegedly pure evil. His alleged behavior was so bad Tori Burch was allegedly scared of him and ran for the hills. Travis needs to cut the Ms. Celie braids, buy a suit, and get ready for a legal battle.

Kylie will handle this, trust!

These youngin's gonna learn what obligation is when you sign on the dotted line. This is how you start losing your fortune. Paying lawyers, waking up the IRS & getting you new shit garnished. Lyorr doing the same thing Rocko did but ni66as won't say Lyorr broke or reachin'......

Travis you don't want it with this dude. We talking the Jewish mafia here so just go on and write that check!

Looks like most know the deal re: Lyor. This guy has a seat on Mt. Olympus in the music industry. Kids gonna have to pay up and suck some cock! Oh, and his career is over.

I know someone has some tea on Lyor's robbing behind.

Didn't Travis know that Lyor Cohen got The Gasface years ago...

11:09 ~ You always have a nickname for me, but I never use it for myself. You're always so kind so all I'll say is this. Lyor Cohen is untouchable. If there were tea, no one would spill it. As someone jokingly alluded to above, it was only another musician (of the same background and a family of equal status) that ever public criticized this man. When I was doing my old job, just his name would make LA Industry types (all of whom are of the same background) tremble. You knew someone was in trouble if he was coming to town. I never knew him to be a client because he's so powerful he probably has anything he wants one phone call away.

What I guess I don't understand is how these young men keep signing contracts with him? Offers one can't refuse are real, and the only person who can get you out of that kind of contract is an Iovine or a Geffen, but then you'd be allegedly signing up for a different type of hell.

Be safe everyone.

@11:09 and 12:02

I interned at Def Jam, back in the day while Lyor was at the helm and, yes, there is tea, but nobody's gonna spill it. Travis picked the wrong dude to cross, because Lyor will not relent, until he gets what he thinks is his share. Travis might as well just pay him now. It's not worth the headache.

Travis should just call Dame Dash. They can take Lyor down together. Dame know where the bodies are buried.

Yea he seems like a shiesty crook!

So PMK got her girls doing recon work now? I bet Travis was laid up all comfortable with Kylie and told his business and PMK had info to trade with Lyor's people? When will these rappers/musicians figure out the Koven is kryptonite to Black men.

Thank you 12:02 and 1:39. That tightly lidded thermos of tea says enough.
I was going to suggest Travis grew up in poverty and signed with Lyor in desperation but it turns out he grew up middle class.
He's just stupid.

@ 12:02pm no Fairygodmother it's me. I gave you that name. When I read the first two sentences I knew it was you. I didn't even read thru everything you wrote, but I'm about to now. I should have known to ask for your input on this because I know you would be in the know. Okay give me a minute and I will be right back!!!!

P.S. I was thinking about you the other day, but I know you only comment on certain things not frivolous nonsense.

Okay I'm back. As you can see in my earlier post, Fairygodmother I knew Travis wrote a check his you know what coukdnt cash.

In my opinion, he is out of his league because to say Lyor will make mince meat out of Travis is an understatement. And I am no where near or in the industry.

If I were him he better ask around before he start walking around with his chest poked out like he got it like that because he surely dont!

Laa soul said...

Okay Fairy godmother I know you mentioned Geffen an Iovine, but I thought all of them are connected meaning they are one in the same in terms of business dealings because they probably all talk and do business together, so I'm thinking there is no way out when you deal with one you will deal with all of them.

Am I correct. I would appreciate your take on this.

3:51/4:08 - I can only tell you that I'm thankful to never have been in close proximity to the people you mentioned or the music industry beyond work-related listening parties, etc. What I can say is that while they are all independent of each other, they're all untouchable. In a lot of ways those "360" deals as I've heard them called allow musicians to at least keep a distance/avoid direct contact with the very powerful. It's like the IRS, don't you prefer for them to take their money directly out of your paycheck? Imagine if you were accidentally short when paying them? Dangerous and and this situation is an example to everyone to read the fine print.

Someone made a great observation elsewhere that Kylie might have funneled information back to powerful people from this rapper. That kind of work (Google "Honeypot") is very dangerous and any with sense would avoid it. It's lucrative, but a lot of danger because you have two clients (your mark and the people who are paying you.)

Best way to get information from any man is to make him comfortable, cater to his every whim, snuggle up, and pretend to ask about his life under the guise of "concern" for him. Just don't get caught or you may under up beaten within an inch of your life by the mark, and beaten again by the client because you messed up the job. But again, that wasn't my tier. I hope this information helps. LA is small and the truth will always rise to the surface.

4:08, I'm not even going to lie (It's 4:49) there is someone mentioned that's more powerful than the others. He allegedly has the Devil on speed dial (a joke out here.) For Snitch's sake I won't say his name, but Google him. He has a long history of philanthropic ventures and more money than anyone, but also an alleged Cadre of ex-Israeli commandos on his payroll, and at least one ex-boyfriend who said (under oath) that this person would make him "disappear" if he ever crossed him. Check the news feeds and court docs. I was never at that tier and again, some people can just pick up the phone and get whatever they want. But an old contact (who picked up and moved to Wisconsin or Wyoming) was one of the best Bookers in West Hollywood. Something went wrong and he moved in two weeks and changed all his numbers and allegedly his legal name. That's how shaken he was. That's all i'll say. Please don't use his name if you respond.

Ok, if you ever were a reader of Myra Panache...

You should see what I see...

Very clearly Myra who ever she really is (Has been commenting on RWS, MYRAS specialty was prostitution stories, the HIGH END ESCORT WORLD

Ive been seeing her signature story telling ever since all this Dubai, Escort talk has been going on here on RWS, even the Nick names, and posting as multiple people

I cant be the only one seeing this.

PEEK A BOO said...

In addition in this thread you can see the Super conspiratorial, cloak and dagger , celebrity intrigue spin in the comments Myra was known for.

Laa soul said...

Wow!! And when I first saw Kylie and Travis together, I said huh? But then I thought about it and said it must be because he was linked to Rhianna. Well we all know Kris is shoving Kylie down everyone's through every chance she gets, so it's definitely not beneath her to get in bed with Lyor.

5:12 - I assure you I'm not Myra Panache (just Googled it.) I use this forum because it's cathartic to me and I don't have to use Disqus and thus identify myself. I read a lot of different entertainment and LA blog but only comment here. I do notice that whenever bigwigs are invloved and someone with info tells the story behind the story, suddenly there are commenters who try to discredit it. I can only think you're on someone's payroll 5:12 and 5:18 and good for you. It's great work if you can get it!

I won't comment again on this story/for a while in general. I respect Snitch and don't want to put her at risk.

@ 5:12pm. I'm glad you are in here because I was a reader from way back in the day on the Panache Report too. As a matter of fact I remember way back before Rhianna when people on the boards would talk about Chris Brown being rough with the strippers escorts, etc. And I didn't believe it. Well guess what Myra had the tea then.

But one thing I can assure you Myra Panache and Fairygodmother are two different people. How do I know, the writing style is different.

And with all due respect to Myra her site focuses too much on food, unlike in the past. When Fairygodmother comes on here her feedback is thorough and to the point.

Fairy godmother comment all you want don't go no where!!!!

I forgot to also mention again with all due respect because I so enjoyed the Panache report back in the day, but her site has changed to the point where there are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors.

6:13 I know I said I wouldn't comment further on this thread/on RWS for a while but always appreciate your balanced view and pragmatism. Thank you for always looking at the bigger picture. I just wish people understood celebrities and the rich have faults and foilbles just like us. They just have more money to cover it up.

Fairy Godmother you are always welcomed here. Like someone said, you bring the heat, then you bow out with class. You post when you feel its appropriate, which is why you get so much love here. You're classy and discrete. Thank you for all your insight.

All of these ridiculous, nonsensical, conspiracy theories within a travis scott post were redundant and over the top. Along with the fact there is a particularly uninteresting poster I always scroll past... This topic is not that serious. Good day.

@12:29 Hey Travis' Mom! Or are you on the Cohen payroll? People post so-called "conspiracies" based on their experiences. If you don't like them, do read them. But to begrudge the entire thread their fun? You sound like a paid shill. Good Day indeed.

^^^If you don't like them, don't read them, rather.

2:51 on a Friday night, okay... Oh and I read maybe one sentence of each post that I could stand to look at. That was my point. It was as though I was trapped in a room with a schizophrenic talking amongst themself. I did not take any of that commentary in, I mostly scrolled past it all. So I didn't get my kicks, I swiftly left the post but decided to return to state how I felt about the nonsense. Are you mad, bitter or angry??? Stay that way.

It's obvious there are cleaners in here claiming "wild conspiracy theories" are being spread when the only thing that has been discusses are BUSINESS dealings.
Go back and tell your bosses most of their dark secrets are still safely hidden. Thank you again Fairy Godmother, Laa Soul and 1:39 for bringing this shadiness to light. Hopefully your stories will help other young artists trying to come up make better choices in selecting who they sign with.
