Mo'Nique Blasts Lee Daniels Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry

Two years ago director Lee Daniels confirmed suspicions that Academy Award winning actress Mo'Nique had been blackballed by Hollywood over her behavior during the promotion of the 2009 film Precious for award season [click here if you missed that].

In a recent comedy show Mo'Nique went in and let have on Precious director Lee Daniels and producers Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry...

Uh -Oh, she messed with the trifecta.
Congratulations Monique, your acting career has just come to an end. She still takes no responsibility for her own actions or inaction depending on how you look at it.

She has a right to her opinion, that's called Freedom and fear of no man, only God.

Anonymous said...

she does have the right to say what ever she wants... but i guess she does not want to work anymore in movies/tv. maybe she can get a made for tv scifi movie. she could play the monster!

She has a right to say whatever she wants but make sure you tell the entire story. Like how they put she on that platform (Precious) and she didn't want to do her part in promoting the movie.

Of course she does 8:07 but would you publicly call the power players in your organization such vile names then tell them to suck your D? She is such an old hood booger, it's not even funny anymore.

Here comes the smear campaign.....

When it happens to assholes like Steve Harvey, it's a smear but when it's downtrodden artists like Monique, she's bitter.

It's really funny how fast people forget how politics work in this industry. At this rate, don't expect to see any black people at all in entertainment 30 years from now.

Edit: And before all you industry trolls jump on me, think about all the other black actors who have been treated the same way. Black actors whom you haven't seen in 20 years.

Bwahahahaha....I'm not mad at her.

Uh oh!!!! The black boule and their elite daddies are not gonna like Monique mouthing off, humiliation ritual coming in 5...4...3...2...1

8:23 Yes, like she said, they didn't want to *pay her* for promotion and she would rather stay home with the kids. Sigh. Nobody usually bites the hand that feeds them unless there IS more to the story. Think about it.

So, where is Oprah allegedly in this dragging? Is she allegedly mad at Mo'Nique for winning an Oscar when she hasn't? You know Oprah lives for white accolades. (I respect her business acumen, but deep down she seems self-hating.)

Sorry I fucks with Monique. Fuck them Boule negros.

Chrissy Snow said...

No one is saying it's right but unfortunately for Monique she CHOSE to work in an industry where success is gained from kissing Hollyweirds ass.
This is not a race issue. People are blacklisted all the time for doing and saying less than Monique. She is so angry no one will return her calls that she chose to unleash her fury with a temper tantrum onstage at a comedy show. She could have at least made it funny.

Say what you want about Steve, he played the game. He wanted to keep his jobs and his money flowing so he swallowed his pride, kissed the right asses and kept his mouth shut.
Again, not saying it's right but that is the way Hollyweird treats it's employees.

All I see is a bad ass tempertantrum. Monique please have several seats because you know you played a role in your career suicide. And btw wasn't her huzzband her manager who was also making crazy ass demands on her behalf???

Say it again 9:37! People have to stop being naive.

It's just weird having an Oscar winner speak like this. No matter what her truth is, she played a role in her downfall. From Countess Vaughn, up to Queen Latifah who she worked with recently, who does Monique actually get along with? No one. But it's everyone else's fault. k...How many white execs has she put on blasts? None? Why? Because people like Ryan Murphy appreciate a sassy, ignorant, fat Black woman? The fat black woman gay white men claims lives inside them? Alright well yeah. As a Black person I'm not looking for that nor checking for that. Explains why Black execs aren't checking for Monique.

9:14 you put two and two together too, huh? She must be trying to tell us something.

Fuck the Haters go in

MoNique's Money must be running real real low...
Somebody had better give or get her a job before they get
VERY VERBALLY ABUSED

Anonymous said...

I see some of you forgot, or don't know that Oprah interviewed Monique's brother, the one who allegedly molested her as a child.

Anonymous said...

O Monique at it again huh? Well I suppose you know whats next right? I hope u invested in a buissness or saved some money because I think your done I really do back on the blackballed list again o well I guess you know what your doing

Anonymous said...

Fuck her. You know how many actresses would have killed for that part? She knew it was a low budget movie when she signed up. Actors routinely participate in Oscar campaigns. I doubt they wanted her to pay her own hotel and airfare but they weren't going to give her a salary on top of it.

Look at Octavia Spencer on the flip side. She's had two or three pilots development deals and movies. She stay caked up. She's salty. Mariah Carey wasn't the pain in the ass, put that in perspective.

I hope Oprah and Tyler blackball her. Fuck her ungrateful ass.

Anonymous said...

^ Precious sucked. Who in their right mind would have killed for that part? You serious?? NO industry that requires ass kissing in lieu of TALENT should stay safe from being put on blast.

Anonymous said...

That was a good movie based on popular book. That's a meaty role that has Oscar all over it. Everybody from that movie wen on to do well but her.

Anonymous said...

Meryl Streep don't get paid for promotion. Sorry Mo but at the time you ain't Meryl you were an unknown. They wanted you to promote when Oscar THEN command the hefty fees. They all do that. Monique wasn't a big enough star to command that

Anonymous said...

Wow. Look at her IMDB page. This Academy award winner has nothing in the pipeline. Damn SMH...

She's dumber than a door knob! First of all I never understood her beef to begin with. Why would people pay HER to promote HER own movie that she was starring in? That's not how the game works, so right from the beginning she was in the wrong for making such demands and had it been a white director or a "white" movie she was starring in, she would've made no such demands! And so now the word is out that if you do put her in a project she's not going to promote it unless she gets paid and on top of that she's gonna put you on blast too if things don't go her way... I wouldn't hire her ass either, it would be too much of a headache. She only has herself to blame her her career being in the dumps.

Since nobody will say it, I'm quite sure the "more to this story" is really about the sex parties and ritual sacrifice parties she wasn't down for. Come on y'all. The red carpet after parties are a giant cesspool for deviant degrading behavior and debauchery. I'm surprised she still won the Oscar since she clearly wasn't participating.

At this point, she may just want to write a tell all & tell EVERYTHING - then enter witness protection.

And @8:50 - yes, the only way back from this is a huge humiliation ritual (or sacrifice). Y'all remember had Iyalana VanZant had to go on Oprahs couch and cry and apologize? It will be even WORSE for Monique.

OAN- she looks really good here. If this is a recent pic (I can't see the video), she's keeping the weight off so kudos to her!! BUT I can see the stress all in her face even tho she's trying to smile.

@ Prissa

Girl you said it before i could.
THIS is exactly what i was thinking as i was scrolling down the comments.

We stay on the same page !

There is DEFINITELY more to the story and it is so obvious to those of us who apply critical thinking skills.

I didn't even watch the video.
BUT for her to say what you guys repeated on here, it is clearly deeper than we know.

ALSO, i thought that her AND Isaiah Washington made amends to Hollyweird by doing tgat pro-gay movie.

I guess it wasn't good enough.
The Boule is out for blood.

The point is, with the whole entertainment industry whether it's the news, music or Hollywood, unless you own or are part owner of these corporations and businesses, you WORK for someone else and signing up to be an employee doesn't give you the right to behave any kind of way period. These actors, anchors included, began to take themselves too seriously thinking that those industries wont survive without their talent and refuse to believe they are just products then get hurt/angry when they figure it out. If they did something illegal to her then she should sue, but she hasn't so she's just another casualty of the business when you act up in the work place and eventually get fired.

Anonymous said...

2:30 you are SO correct. I sad I didn't see it before. It's so clear what's happening. And her mentioning Oprah? I wonder what time it is/What MoNique wouldn't do?

Anonymous said...

Some people are unapologetically Black. Bernie Mac was one of those people. There is no room in Hollywood for this type of negro because that negro cant be bought. So people like MoNique can have a place, but it will only be for our viewing. She will never have crossover success. And I think shes OK with that.

Ever wonder why people like Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tim Reid, and Holly Robinson Peete arent bigger stars given their talent?

Anonymous said...

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Are we talking about the same MoNique who admitted on live tv that she and her husband have an open relationship? This doesn't sound very moral to me. Could it be that when it came down to Hollyweird sex rituals that MoNique had no takers? Just speculating

Anonymous said...

@ 4:44
I get where you afe coming from and that's real.

What trips me out is how some folks on here are talking that " obey your employer " crap when she has ALREADY been black/ white balled ! So she has nothing to Lose and stood to only gain Respect for keeping it REAL.

Let's not forget Lee Devil paid her a measly $ 50,000 to do Precious, so it's not about the money.

When you are a blavk person who CANNOT be bought that is Powerful in & of itself.

Her and Katt Williams keep it 100 & that's why Hollywood hates them.

But it's all good. Screw Hollywood.
Carve a lane for yourself and do things YOUR way & succeed on your OWN terms.

Be your own Boss.

Followers and scared folks won't understand.
Because they feel safer to go along to get along at the cost of their self respect
INSPITE of all the eloquent excuses they use to justify their cowardly ways.

BUT that is OK
Somebody has to take a stand and tell the Truth. It takes courage to do that.

I may not agree with the vulgarity that she choose to use to bring the point home.
But the Fact remains & the message was put out there.

So for her bravery to be Honest,

I salute Mo.

She can always say whatever she wants. However. There are consequences. Letting her husband be her manager was a bad idea. And it's almost always women with turn over their purse strings to their husbands. Monique. Anita Baker. Melba Moore. Mary J Blige. See a pattern?

Monique been talking about her open marriage and shit. She up on her ho game.

Monique finally said what everyone else wanted to say; remember when Oprah started OWN; first black women to have a TV channel and EVERYONE was shocked how she put an all white line up; white people (no diss) weren't and aren't struggling for acting gigs or TV shows; LORD!!!! After people complained she opened her eyes; but Monique isn't lying on them. She expected them to be real with her and they were; they showed her who they were taking care of and it wasn't her:/ Monique is a brilliant actress; you'll get work!!!!!

@ 7:43 and 6:26

Y'all are in here trying to compare apples and oranges.
Her Marital situation has absolutely nothing to do with her speaking out on how other black elites chose to handle things behind closed doors & how their actions negatively affected her career.

@ JDent

Make no mistake silence is compliance
So there are consequences for that too.
Telling the truth is a fearless act.

It's not for the faint hearted.

@ 11:47 I concur

@12:46

Feeding her kids should be her first course of action. I get so fed up with that keeping real shit. There's strategy to truth.

You nor anyone else is going to send her a damn ducat to her kids for her their survival. So that's what you think about her truth. NADA
