I loved The Get Down! I'm devastated! Seriously.

I really liked that show. It wasn't for the ADHD, Empire, Tyler Perry masses so I can understand why it didn't make it.

that must be a typo...you mean 20 million, I cannot see how that show was produced for that much money...hell 20 million is too much

Yeah I could see this happening. The first 5 or 6 episodes were good but then it became tedious to watch. I wonder where the 120 million went.

It was boring and creepy.

makes sense season 2 had 5 episodes. I enjoyed the show and the throwback of it all.

IT IS A GREAT SHOW IF YOU HAVE A LITTLE HISTORY IN LIFE AND CAN RELATE. IF YOU CAN'T I CAN SEE WHY YOU WOULDN'T LIKE IT.

120 million for 12 episodes, wow that's like 10 million a show! It's big money in the production business! Cha ching!!

i really liked the show, yeah you had to pay attention to it but that's the point of watching tv. i guess for a lot of people, having to pay attention to a show in order to be able to follow it and comprehend what's going on proved to be too difficult.

So what's Jaden's next move?...

I never saw the the show.But what I see now is a black man imitating John Travolta's from the 1977 movie Saturday Night Fever. Now believe me that in 1977 blacks had their own style, culture WE MADE UP THE DANCE STYLES. Everyone imitated Us! So this show is HISTORICALLY INCORRECT.

@11:44

If you ever watched the show you'd know he is a wannabe disco guy so...um...its sort of the point to make him seem like a Travolta wannabe.

But thanks for being another uniformed commenter, who uses as little information as possible to come to a passionate decision. Mighty Trumpish of you.

There was 2 seasons - the second was short, but still was 2

Yes you'r right

Black people in 1977 were proud black Stallions. And in the Bronx back then black men did not put hispanic women over their own black women like they do now.

I watched and it was just OK for me. Better than the crap that Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry put out.

Jasen smith always gets loot for his roles because he brings his already huge fan base to every role he gets so he's guaranteed big money
