Shots Fired Gets Axe

Shots Fired starring Sanaa Lathan will not be back for season two...

Fox announced this week that Shots Fired, the series about two racially charged police shootings in a small North Carolina town will not be renewed for another season.

The 10-part drama was originally planned as a limited series, but low ratings definitely contributed to its early demise.

Show was good but the scheduling was wrong. Everybody was watching Black Ink on Weds. at 8.

Damn. We can't keep a quality show on. OK, BET, TVOne, Bounce, Aspire--time to step up. Meanwhile, L&HH, BBW's, & RHW's will stay on in perpetuity...let's support real edutainment that addresses our issues. Somebody pic this up, please.

12:30pm reality show ratings aren't solely based on the African American demographic. Lots of other races love watching blacks, Hispanic - hell ANY race - make an ass out of themselves. Look at here comes honey boo boo - yt trash at its finest but it was a network gold mine. There's not enough of us to make a network show a success.

^^^True-- but you can damn sho believe won't none of us watching no 'honey boo boo', not nare one of us. Just like 'Roseanne' back in the day, won't no black folks watching that mess, and they're bringing that sh*t back.
