Sleepy Hollow Canceled on Fox

Earlier this year there were whispers Sleepy Hollow was suffering badly after killing off lead character Abbie Mills, played by actress Nicole Beharie, in the season three finale [click here if you missed that].

In totally unrelated news Sleppy Hollow just got canceled...

Fox announced this week that Sleepy Hollow would not be back for season five.

Sleepy Hollow producers blamed the cancelation on the show's move to Friday nights admitting the ratings never recovered.

Nicole Beharie came to the production with some critical acclaim and in the end, the producers treated her like trash and totally undermined the show's storyline by suddenly minimizing the importance of her character. There are plenty of actors on that show who I respect, but I am so glad that it got cancelled. The more they reduced the screentime of the Mills sisters and increased the presence of the white guy (who played an admittedly endearing character)and other random white characters, the ratings went down. I'm not saying that they lost ratings because of the injection of white characters, they just dismantled riveting arcs that were led by the minorities that were introduced on the show.

Good, they thought them whisky Mikes was going to make the show better. They just didn't do the math black+white audience = better ratings that white + white audience = cancel.
