Well, he's also on in some markets today that he wasn't in 2 years ago, after some local hosts shows terminated, so it's really not that big of a deal. Anybody with the technology to be able to hear him can still do so. I might listen to him 3 or 4 times a year, so I can't say that I'm upset about it. At least his show wasn't replaced by Steve's...yet. I'm surprised that Steve is still on at WBLS. How can anybody listen to that mess for 4 hours a day for years? They both do their share of coonin', so whatever.

Maybe TJMS should make a bid for the morning show on
WBLS. Many have stopped listening to WBLS in the morning because of Steve Harvey

syndicated radio has lost it's edge. Folks want local personalities who can talk or at least relate to what's going on in their area. National coverage is fine, but sometimes, I don't want to hear about the bunny rabbit lost on the 101 hwy in L.A. I just don't.

Get back to the local dj's and personalities.

Damn. Even though I'm strictly Pandora, I grew up listening to TJ in Chicago where he started. We've lost Doug Banks, Herb Kent, now the Tom Joyner show! Huge loss for Chicago Black radio.

I like Russ Par who is local to the DMV.
I love Howard Stern tho. Glad I have a free satellite subscription lol

They ALL need to play better music.

When tragedy strikes or something really good or interesting happens I want coverage and feedback from people that know and can relate to the local area.

I used to listen to Mark Thompson on SXM, but I couldn't get used to his schedule after they switched him from PM to AM. It just isn't the same anymore. Satellite radio can be on some BS, too. They're always moving around or cancelling the good shows.

I hate they took off Nathan Ivey's morning show and replaced him with Tom Joyner, who of course is not local and and does not keep up with or give a damn about local issues.

They have the platform to start interesting dialogue about issues effecting Black America. Sadly, every topic spins off into a "Ha, Ha "moment no matter how serious the subject matter is. Not every subject needs a humorous response or a feeble attempt to appear comical. TJMS needs to persuade their audience to participate in thought provoking conversations lik e D.L Hughley or Michael Baisden. Laughter is good for the soul but c'mon.

Good. I hope DC/MD is next. TJ is so wack and played. He is so phony.
