Halle Berry Says Her Oscar Meant Nothing

Back in 2002 Halle Berry became the first woman of color to win the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Monster's Ball.

Now, 15 years later, Halle admits her win did nothing to help diversify Hollywood...

Halle Berry tells Teen Vogue,
“Wow, that moment really meant nothing. It meant nothing. I thought it meant something but I think it meant nothing.”
No other woman of color has won the Oscar for Best Lead Actress since.
