Looks Good

This really does look good. We are such beautiful people.

BUT this is just the whites making money off of black ppl like they always do. That will never change until we are able to be in charge of our own narrative with our own studios and production companies. But it's a step in the right direction, I guess.

@Prissa - I would agree with you wholeheartedly, but this situation/movie is a little different. The movie is directed and co-written by a black man (Ryan Coogler). Marvel/Disney could have found a white man to do it, but they wanted authenticity. The costume designer is a black woman. Except for a few specs of white, all the major characters/actors are black and not just AA...Africans, and brown skin/dark skin at that. Stan Lee is on record saying this is the best Marvel spin off, and his favorite character of all time. Not Iron Man, not Thor, not Captain America, but Black Panther. The introduction of this character by Marvel was monumental in the 60's and the money and marketing Marvel/Disney is throwing behind this movie is ridiculous. True, Marvel/Disney is going to make major bank off this movie. But consider all the money, deserved attention and accolades the actors, director, and other black people involved will receive. And the joy of seeing a legitimate black superhero on screen in a big budget movie almost exclusively about African culture (albeit is somewhat fantasy in nature) that will appeal to numerous cross-sections of this world is epic. I can live with yt getting some money in this situation if it results in a positive outcome for us. Marvel/Disney own the rights to Black Panther so no other studio or production company could have done this. I'm a Marvel stan, so I'll basically see any movie they put out. I'm just tickled that this is going to be their biggest effort to date, and I'm extra siced a movie about a black superhero is leading the charge. Can't wait for this movie or Avengers - Infinity War.
