Rihanna Visits Malawi with Her Charitable Foundation

Global Citizen shares a previously unseen video of Rihanna visiting a school in Malawi with her Clara Lionel Foundation...

In January 2017, Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation, Global Citizen, and the Global Partnership for Education visited Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world. The Clara Lionel Foundation has partnered with the Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen to advocate for strong education systems that ensure the world's poorest kids can get a quality education.

What about Beyonce! She has done alot more. Why dont the Blogs do a story about her stuff more often. Rihanna is not genuine.Beyonce has cried about why God has blessed her much while. Rihanna is snorting coke.

^^^^^ seems to be the push is on Rihanna now - she will never be able to take the hype and pressure - too damaged.

I get that Roc Nation is trying to give Rih "legs", meaning have her involved in charity so people will take her more seriously than just some random pop girl. Nothing wrong with that, because pop music is fickle. But this just isn't Rihanna. She looks so awkward standing in front of those kids, wearing them schoolmarm clothes in that top photo. It's not her steez. Just let Rihanna be a pop star and fade out. These random trips to third world countries is what Clive Davis had Alicia Keys doing early in her career to gain credibility. Eventually her true colors came out and that image sank. Same will happen with Rihanna because THIS IS NOT HER. Just let her make her records, smoke her weed and get lap dances from strippers.

Also, the weight gain now makes sense. She had to get sober (by her standards) in order to do this "Global Citizen" crap. Roc wants Rih to either get that "America's Sweetheart" image ala Taylor Swift, or just highly a respected image. Rih don't care about being respected so ultimately this will fail. She probably got high when she went back to her hotel after dealing with those kids.

I troll it like I see it. said...

Beautiful documentary. Rihanna looks just fine to me. Although I *side eye* the Caucasians in any involvement on the mother continent given the human sex slave and organ trafficking. And those unscrupulous Africans on the continent who sell their own children to these wealthy greys for nefarious purposes. I hope its all being done for a great purpose and not some dark sided shit.

Child there is a video of Beyonce moving cans around on a table at her old church in Houston with her Pastor. She seemed annoyed at answering the questions from the reporters; like she hated doing the work (of moving cans and fronting like she cares about feeding the needy). This was during the B'Day era. There's also an image of her with an African Kang and she looks soooo annoyed at sitting next to him and having all the villagers ooh and ahh over her and not their king. Maybe Matt put her up to it, to solidify an image; either way she looked annoyed.

My point? @8:19, stop bringing up Beyonce in a Rihanna post when someone like me can come along and point out the same thing about said-then Beyonce.

Also my point, Alicia Keys seems to be into her charity, what with throwing that gala every year. *shade*

Rihanna seems to be into the Diamond Ball, as well.

Let these stars -shine-, charitably, as they wish.

How much charity work do you do in your community? Check oneself.

Rihanna doesn't have to be "America's Sweetheart". A) she ain't from America and B) she's already the "World's Sweetheart"
-bats eyelashes-
LOL

doesn't she have her own charity in Barbados dedicated to her late grandmother and does a lot of work in her country? i don't think she minds doing it, maybe she just felt a little out of her element. she looked a little sick/tired. maybe they whisked her right off the plane to the village. who knows. whatever the cause at least she's trying to do something.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but What is that shiesty-looking white woman doing with the millions of dollars of donations that the foundation receives, I mean this is Africa where the cost of living is really cheap like less than $20 a month about $5/a week,...a million would have everyone even down to the goats in about 50 towns in Malawi living a wealthy lifestyle and not just getting by either... I mean after all those millions and thousands the children are sitting on sand floors from schools from the 60s with no school lunch not even portridge or paper and pencil, ,LITTLE CHALK, ONE MAYBE TWO TEACHERS FOR THE CHILDREN....dang they must be pocketing the money but THE ONE OR TWO TEACHERS AINT GET PAID LIKE AMERICA'S STARTING TEACHERS SALARIES OF $36,000+, $1500 BIWEEKLY.... AMERICA'S LOW SCHOOL BUDGETS MAKE AN ENTIRE SXHOOL DISTRICT FROM PRE-K THRU HIGH SCHOOL, EMPLOYEES, FACULTY, STAFF, BUSES, LUNCH/BREAKFAST, SCHOOL BUILDINGS WORK ON A BUDGET OF COUPLE OF MILLION THE ENTIRE YEAR OR EVEN 2 TERMS...LIKE MJ PEOPLE DONATE BUT THE MONEY GETS INTERCEPTED BY THE GREEDY FAT CATS PLAYING POOR MOUTH AND COOKING THE BOOKS... THATS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY THERE'S A CYCLE OF POVERTY IN AFRICA AND AMERICA BECAUSE THESE GREEDY CHARITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS TAKE THE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES, THAT IS WHY MY FAMILY ALWAYS TRY TO DIRECTLY HELP PEOPLE IN NEED SO THE GREEDY MIDDLE MAN/WOMAN WON'T TAKE IT FOR THEMSELVES!!!!
