Kenya Moore Mourns the Loss of Her Grandmother

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore has been very open about being abandoned by her mother and being raised by her grandmother.

Kenya pays tribute to her beloved grandmother and mourns her recent death...

Today I lost the only woman in the world who has ever loved me unconditionally. My grandmother who raised me from 3 days old passed away. Thank you Jehovah for sending me your Angel who taught me everything I know about love, compassion, strength, kindness, selflessness, forgiveness, family, education, brains over beauty, inner beauty, strength, respect for your elders, being true to myself....she has helped mold me into the woman I am. She truly was my best friend. She finally lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease but her heart and spirit never failed her. Thank you Jehovah for allowing my last moment with her last month to be the last and for her to have met my loving husband. I truly believe she waited until she knew that I finally found someone to love and cherish me the way she did. She could not rest until she knew I would be taken care of by someone who deserved me. She didn't recognize me at first but when I introduced them but she lit up with so much joy that my heart became overwhelmed. She approved and it was the happiest day of my life. Thank you momma for being the best woman I have ever met in my life. Thank you for approving of me and thank you for letting the world know how proud you are of me. I thank you for my life. I owe the world to you. I know you will never leave my side in life or after. I am eternally grateful to you. Thank you for loving me. #unconditionallove #God #gonebutneverforgotten #family #myangel

Prayers up Kenya and sorry for your loss, but that IG bragging on a husband that looks mighty suspect on his love for you could come back and haunt you. You could've just paid tribute to momma in this post ...

Is she a witness?

It was her father's mother and yes, Kenya was raised a Jehovah's Witness, she mentioned it on the show.

I really don't watch RHOA because of Kenya but my heart goes out to her. Losing a granny is like losing a parent, especially if they raised you. God bless her and her entire family.

She definitely made that send off all about herself....

Aawww, grandma has lived. I'm glad she was able to see her grand daughter grow up to be okay without her mother. This brings tears to my eyes. Shame on the mother for putting that burden on her own mother and many many praises to the grandmother. R.I.P

*** on the fathers mother ***

I wonder will her mother try to make amends with her. That would be a better story line than her having her husband on the show. It may help Kenya.

I troll it like I see it said...

Although she is crazy as fish with titties, condolences to her on losing her beloved grandma, losing a beloved who stepped up when your parents ain't shit, is indeed a tragic loss.

This made me cry today. My heart goes out to Kenya. My daughter gave a child up when she was a teenager. I can't go into all the details. But the state let her make the decision because the state said at 17 she was legally able to do so. After she got pregnant, she would not communicate with the childs father. The child is a young adult in her early twenties. I have been asking my daughter to reach out to the daughter she gave up and she's not ready. I explained that she will eventually have to tell her younger children about the adoption. Please you all pray that she will open her heart.

Found this on another site

Kenya’s mother and father are first cousins, there i said it.” says a family member. ” Kenya’s known this for some time and still tries to get her mother to speak to her, her mother knew of this situation and due to her family’s beliefs decided to keep the baby, but not participate in her life.” Kenya quickly deleted all the comments off her ‘instagram’ page and acted like it never happened. The woman claims that many gossip sites are setting up interviews with her, and a few RHOA cast have reached out to bring in her on the final episodes of the current season. The accuser wants no fame or fortune for this information, but believes Kenya isn’t truthful and the world should understand why Patricia chooses to keep Kenya out of her life. “Kenya, Lori, & her father know about this and have decided to keep it quiet since filming on RHOA. We will keep you informed with any further information. Thoughts on this? Sound off in the comments.

So there you have it, that is if it's true. The family kept the secret despite knowing how it would destroy the child. Like people would never find out. Still embrace your child though. I also read that is what the father of Patricia wanted, for her to have nothing to do with the child.

@12:59 AM Who the fuck wouldn't be in denial and want to keep it a secret that their mother and father are 1st cousins? The unfortunate situation is that the child is scapegoated and made to bare the shame of the parents. The sins of the father shall visit the children.

It isn't Kenya's fault that her mother and father were fucking cousins, literally. Any child would want to talk to their own mother, to be accepted and loved. Shame on her parents all the days of their lives.

Also those piece of shit RHOA women should not meddle in this mess. This is a life changer and should be off the table.

Negroes Are So Lost and Naive said...

@12:59 & 1:05 What you wrote was absolute bullshit that is from a false website known for lying. Kenya's parents met in high school and from different sides of the tracks. She was middle class and he was poor. Her maternal grandfather was one of those strict niggas who was all about appearances. I swear you niggas are so damn naive and worse than crackers sometimes! You believe everything you read on these bootleg gossip sites, everything! That's why people take the word of white mainstream sites like Yahoo and people over sites like diary of a hip hop king, media take out, urban belle, straight from the a, etc...
