I went to Spelman with Maia and this is beyond heartbreaking. I pray her family finds a way to help her. I appreciate LL Cool J for showing compassion. I feel so much venom for these f*ck boy n!gg@s who think this sh!t is funny and continue to film and laugh at her for likes. It literally makes me sick to my stomach. I am praying for her. She is a beautiful person consumed by demons who simply needs help.

This is a shame before God. Someone please get this girl some help. Not even funny it's sad. God bless this child.

R in NYC says:

Its almost shocking how little shame these bottom feeding men who keep taping her, and feeding her drugs have. I shudder to think what else they are doing to her :(

I saw her in Sparkle at Spellman when I was at Morehouse. She was very sweet and a good actress. Mental illness is a motherfucker.

she needs to shave that nappy dugout underneath those arms.

It should be illegal to record and exploit people with mental illness. She has battled SEVERE mental illness for many years. The guy recording her is a sack of SHAAAAT.

Sad part about it...underneath all that is a beautiful talent person. Mental illness & addiction is real. Very sad

She look like the stereotypical crackhead. Messy hair, missing teeth, dirty bra and shorts on, talking about random shit no one cares about...

This could happen to anyone FYI.

Mia's mother just passed away. I think this may have caused a relapse. I pray Lord God for her to have other family members step up to the plate and talk to her. I pray she can get help not only for her but for her daughter. Mental illness within itself is scary but to have an addition on top of all of that is heartbreaking. Those that are abusing her and using her trust me... They will have to reap every single thing they have sown.

she been like this for years and videos been going around for years of her, Maybe after Jerry Springer was trying to date her something went on.

Her Mother passed away more than 10 years ago. Her support system. The woman who understood her and made sure she stayed medicated. I really hate that it's Black men, and women that do this to her. It was a Black woman recording her last year selling hair utensils in the women's room of an airport I think. Even at your very lowest, our people will envy and destroy. I doubt LL can do much of anything. Where is the Father of her children? He's Mexican. I know he has a big ass family. She needs more than a busy celeb.

The nigga who filmed this should be more concerned about that moldy-ass braid hanging out the top of his head... Clown ass nigga....

Help has been given given to this sista multiple times. She CHOOSES this lifestyle. The true sufferer in this is her daughter. Lets hope the family is giving the little girl the support she needs. Not having a mama is torture for a blossoming young lady. Hopefully she will overcome her addictions before its too late to repair that relationship.

This is why siblings are so necessary. When your parents are gone, you need those siblings to keep you together. Making a child the only child is a true disservice in his life.

@10:58 It is no guarantee that the siblings will be close. I know plenty of estranged siblings.

But you are right ... she has been privileged in getting help. All she has to do is go to some rehab place in Malibu for 90 days, get treatment, call LL Cool J to get on some shows and talk about her recovery and book speaking engagements. She has more opportunities if she seeks sobriety than most because of her past career.

its so sad to see her like that. Good on LL but as the daughter of an addict she has to want the help there's only so much people can do. I wish her all the best

See how that cess pool industry is? This was an absolutely beautiful young lady and this is what Hollywood dose when they are done after they use u up and spit u out I loved her in tyrese video(sweet lady) and on(in the house) she was a very talented and beautiful young lady she ran wit the in crowd and got caught up, after they stopped calling her and she didn't get any more roles she got passed around through that filthy sewer filled greedy cess pool industry this is where she landed this is just sad completely sad wow I'll keep her in my prayers

Unfortunately, it's a part of hood culture to showcase and exploit drug addicts. People make them do dances and ish for money. I read the young man's rebuttal on another blog. He says he has given Maia money and food in the past. She's apparently been begging near that gas station for years. Every one in the area knows who she is and how to find her. It's clear that she doesn't want help and that no one can take her out of this state besides herself. She has fallen off the wagon A LOT. And she's been sexually exploited by low life hood dudes. Remember those hood dudes that had her posing nude? Idk if she slept around a lot with industry dudes but one thing's for sure, she's been around a lot because of her addiction.

that makes me want to cry. read her mother's book "72 hour hold." it's difficult dealing with people who have mental illness/bipolar. they self mediate a lot and lack sexual boundaries. where is her father? just terrible.

Her late Mother,Bebe Moore Campbell authored the book titled 72 Hour Hold. In this book her Mother touched on the constraints in managing a daughter with mental health illness AND addiction issues. It is NOT easy. Some of you may benefit from reading it. Perhaps the tone of these heartless comments may change.

Shame on anyone who doesn't feel badly about what happened to this beautiful, talented woman. Mental illness is not to be made fun of or profited from. The loss of her mother contributes to her pain and inability to get sober, regardless of how long ago she died.
This brother is beneath her on her worst day. I hope his Mama reads him on this shyt.
Everybody is somebody's baby.

@8:52 You are right. This can happen to anyone! We all stand and say how sad which somehow makes us feel this type of situation is "over there" and could never hit home. The difference between her and you is a small chemical difference of dopamine in her brain. That's it! Lose a little of yours and thus will be you. So have compassion... like Christ did and does!
