The Carmichael Show Gets the Axe

The Carmichael Show canceled after three seasons on NBC...

NBC made the call yesterday after the star and creator Jerrod Carmichael announced he was leaving the show to pursue other projects.
"For three seasons (okay 2.5), I got to make a show that I love with my friends. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was 13. Now, I’m excited to go make other things that I love. Thank you to every person who worked on or watched The Carmichael Show.“

*NBC
Its a great show.

I troll it like I see it. said...

I watched one episode they did on is it really rape if the woman said no. I don't know where they were going with that but I was bored to death and in no mood for the undertone of that episode.

Hopefully Netflix can pick it up! Fight for it Jerrod!

I told ya so. I knew this was going to happen. When the shooting in the mall episode got delayed and then the episode guide for Comcast started to post the airing of 1 show when in fact there was always the usual 2. I saw the writing on the wall.(TV boardroom brass politics) The only thing that surprises me is it happened sooner than I expected. I'm going to miss that show.

@12:52 I saw th exact same episode on demand and that was the only one I had ever seen. It was awful.

He walked away from it because they pulled an episode about a mall shooting that was to air on the same day as the Virginia shootings. NBC said it was too touchy. He said it wasn't right, they should have shown the episode because it would made people aware of really is going on.

Dude is a corny/confident neo-negro. He's what white hipsters think edgy black is.

@3:41 And eventually Dave C. came back. It must be more to it than what they are telling us. I like the show but the rape episode was wack.

I honestly don't know how this show made it past the 1st season.

I like generally like the show and it has its funny moments, however, just like Glee it gets too serious with all of the social commentary and loses the right balance.

I never liked this show. The actor who played the Carmichael son married to the light skinned girl was a horrible actor and the light skinned girl was a horrible actress. The story line on these two were very dumb. I'm so sick of this light skinned vs. dark skinned battle with our people. Can't wait for TV to bring back a modern day 'Cosby' TV drama that doesn't involve the former cast of the original Cosby show.
