Love it. When black movies are successful it provides further opportunities. I'm sure Girl's Trip 2 is already being considered.

And I thought it was gonna be a flop major.

I've been wanting to move to NY all my life. What's the best neighborhood to live in your opinion? As far as boroughs, i'm waffling between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Each borough has it's good and bad neighborhoods. Manhattan is very expensive. Harlim is so gentrified now. I've lived all over from Park Slope in Brooklyn to Hollis Queens to the South Bronx. I would avoid most of the South Bronx. If you live in Manhattan the further you live past 115th street the rent gets a little more reasonable. Some parts of Brooklyn I would avoid like Brownsville. East NY I do not recommend at all.
Astoria, Flushing, Kew Gardens, Jamaica Estates are good areas in Queens.
The only neighborhood I didn't feel too safe was East New York late at night.

Can't believe it made so much because it was wack as hell. Hangover and Bridesmaids were much funnier.

@ 8:48, It's pointless to move to New York. Its very expensive out here. Many people are leaving New York for other states.
I currently live in Brooklyn, but I plan on moving out of state in a few years.

I was thinking about Park Slope. What was living there like? What about Prospect Heights?
Washington Heights? West Harlem? the East Village? Sorry for all the questions lol

@MC

I know it's expensive. But it's easy for you to say don't go to NY when you've already experienced it. I'm from Podunk USA i'm tryna get in an Empire State Of Mind lol

Park Slope is very nice. It's the Manhattan of Brooklyn. I lived near Prospect Park. Great restaurants, bars and close to the library, musuem and botanical gardens. I loved it there.

Washington Heights is mostly Hispanic. I had friend who lived over there. Lots of rats running across the sidewalks at night.
West Harlem is nice. I dated a guy who lived on Riverside Dr. Clean, nice area. I could see the George Washington bridge from his balcony.

I have one friend near the East Village. He loves it over there. He lives in a luxury building even though he's on section 8. They accepted 20 vouchers and he got in so instead of paying $3500 a month he only pays $700. I told him don't ever get evicted. That apt is so beautiful.

NYC is somewhere where you are proud to be from and then you get the hell out and make it ANYWHERE. It is not a place to move to. The fucken roaches, rats, mice, homeless people living in every train cart, the dirt, everybody too busy to stop and enjoy life OMG who is moving to NY. Unless you a millionaire living in Manhattan shit is not worth it. Weehawken, Hoboken, West NY places like that in Jersey is nice.
