Is Fantasia Barrino Canceled?

Last year Fantasia Barrino enraged her fans after announcing she was hosting an All Lives Matter concert [click here if you missed that].

Have Fantasia's fans deserted her over her social stance...?

Sounds like it.

Insiders tell Naughty Gossip,
“Fantasia’s concert at Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk has reduced the price of the tickets from $118 to just $22.50.”
“They are almost giving away tickets to see her show.”

She came to the MN State Fair and performed on Prince tribute night but gave all the RIP love, shout outs and performed covers of James Brown.

$118.... She needs a new road manager.

I mean she wasn't exactly selling out stadiums before so it's not like she's lost her audience, it's just that her audience wasn't that big to begin with, and I agree with 2:05 nobody was paying $118 to see Fantasia.

I wouldn't pay over 80 for a concert ticket. I would pay more to see someone like Dr Ben or Dr. Phil Valentine. Tony Browder. Those are the people that can spit knowledge.

Her husband is her manager. Bad move.

I don't hold it against her. She does not "get it". she needs a mentor.

FANTASIA HUSBAND IS HER MANAGER?...OH OH OH

Yes. She's cancelled.

@3:07
Phil Valentine is a known misogynistic black woman hater, used to beat the shit out of his ex wife and pass out std in the conscious community like coupons. Stop mentioning those dusty ass frauds and agents in the hoe-to community.

My issue with Fannie is that she has the chops and the talent, but her songs are all so corny. She honestly has the chops to do the next album that has the strength and pain of MJB's My Life. She just needs better songwriters and to leave the ghetto anthems alone.

ain't nobody spending $118 dollars to see this woman!!!!!

those Beyonce prices for nosebleeds seats.

Saw her for free and that was too much money. Her show is just too much jerking, kicking off the shoes, lip quivering it a hot mess spectacle and she did too many covers. BITCH stay off tour if you don't have the catalog.

I would rather pay $118 to see Fantasia than to watch Rihanna drunk and high on stage bleating like a sheep in pain.

Fantasia's last album was really good but $118 is way too much to go see anybody. plus paying for parking, food, clothing, and whatever else. unless you got it like that, is any of it really worth it? a cd is $10 or less if you buy it used.

@7:14 You forgot Spit and Sweat flying everything where,and her trying to talk like Tina Turner

Y'all need to quit and stop lying. All of the shows at the Ford Amphitheater have seat prices that range from $400+ - $22.50 regardless of the performer. The $22.50 is for the cheap seats and is usually offered by groupon and the like. Black folk stay tryna' bring other black folk down.

mmmm, All Lives Matter, huh?!? Ok, lost me as a fan. I haven't bought a cd since Eve. Will be buying Cardi B when hers come out. She talks a lot of smack on them bars, love it! Remy Ma need to quit playing and bring out a album.

@216nikke

tour managers don't typically book shows or set the show package guarentee price and split deal after overhead. Tour managers move the show from place to place and make sure contract terms are met on both sides as the day of, on the ground contact. Tour managers aslo get the bag, make deposits if there is any cash, gather expenses and actualize the budget to show all the internal splits down the line on a nightly basis for the agency,  label,  and accountant review & pay out. Performance deal points like price, length, opening acts, rider, and venue obligations would be mainly her Booking Agency working in concert with her label and management (but mostly the agent and label). For perfotmances she may be letting go of 30% or more to the label. It trickles down from there. The agent would take 6-10% off the top after the label, then all overhead costs (staff) are deducted, the artists lawyer takes 6-10% ofc the top after the agent, then the tour manager is paid (per diem or %), ALL expenses (insurance, accounting & dealing with expense accounts,  meals, travel, refundable employee expenses, stage stuff (lights,  effects,  live VJ controlling lcd screens,  wardrobe, props, or stage adjustments or rentals), then the manager takes 15-20%, and then whatever is left the artist gets paid. sometimes the artists OWE when all goes wrong. but often times the artist had little to do with setting up or approving anything. Artists who have 360 deals have to do the most to see a dime. The way its set up, everyone eats first: debts, comissions, hired tour staff, expenses. Id love to see how much she actually gets off a $100 ticket. Its definately a sliding scale depending on how many tickets are sold. Not that it was a good idea. That price is crazy talk. the "team" only thinks about at capacity or sell out, how much will "I" make.

I see plenty of booking agencies over promise ticket sales projections and over price tickets for the benefit of their own commission take.  I've toured as a tour manager for a number of acts where that exact situation has happened. their tour territories are scorched with buyers who know you're a losing bet to book at their venue. venues at a certain size have house nut rules where if a minimum of ticket sales aren't met, they can cancel because it may cost more to open the doors than run the show. if they can meet their threshold with the price reduction the show will still happen. but usually after stories like this all appearances are swiftly canceled from one side or the other. big losses from moving forward is career suicide from the perspective of talent buyers. they'll only exist more losses is they fuck with you.

just look at backstreet boys. they had to start to do cruises and change their while game up before they could get back to playing legit shows.

10:34 thanks for the inside info; And yes, if she can get on one of those "Urban" Coors Lite Tours she could make some money and actually be travelling less.
