Jay-Z Explains Perceived Future Diss

Last month Jay Z low-key dissed rapper Future on the 4:44 track 'Kill Jay-Z' after making reference to Future's son being raised by pop star Ciara's new husband Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson [click here if you missed that].

Jay claims the lyric is NOT aimed at Future...

On the Rap Radar podcast Jay explained,
“I really don’t mean any malice…I’m not discrediting all step-pops in the world. It was a line to say, that could happen to me in my future. It just so happened that his name was Future, and then I just made a scheme out of it. I wasn’t trying to put Future down. We just made a song together, I don’t have any problems with him.”

Bullshit. It was a diss, you just didn't want to come off as hypocritical after Kanye "came out" and dissed you.
Just be lucky GDragon, Zico, CL or Kemy aren't creating any diss tracks in the future.

you a DAMN lie and a camel. you know damn well that was a shot that backfired. Ain't nobody out here stupid but your bobble head wife.

it's bad sign when your having to explain almost every line on your album. means it was't that good/you couldn't convey your point. maybe it's time to give up rapping. and come on, jay that was an obvious dis to future it just so happened you used the word future it just so happens you talked about a son it just so happened the step dad played football. camel, i know you are able to manipulate airhead bey with you antics, but we aren't gullible. go away. oh wait, you can't. livenation need their money.

That album was a MAJOR flop, hence him still having to talk about it. No one cares dude, it's OVER.

Even if he was talking about him, so what it wasn't harsher than anything we say about him, future and others on here on a daily basis!!

yea but we're not having a big long boring ass tidal "exclusive" to see our albums either.

And snitch if you don't put the whole damn interview on here instead of all this bits and pieces bullshit everyday cause chile you are wearing me thin

Ok Jay..... what you scared of?? You said what you said!! Damn Go on tour and stop explaining yourself. You're a duplicit phony businessman....go handle yo business man. Why u up here doing interviews on wack ass lyrics from your song and ish when you've got a failing company you supposedly own and a 52 million dollar mortgage to pay for the rest of your life is beyond me....

Album was dope but he is lying through his big ass teeth. He didn't even have a son during the time he cheated on Beyonce. I guess he wasn't talking about Halle Berry either.

Nas called it back on Ether..... "you a pop shit apologize nigga".

It's safe to say Jay might've won the battle (which he didnt IMO) but Nas surely won the war...

He shouldn't have apologized: Future and the mumble mouth crack progeny rappers all suck.

That said, Camel's not a business man but holding money up to your ear is one of the more ignorant things anyone who manages their money and cares about the future of Black generational wealth.

Explain Ike & Tina Turner diss, Eric Benet diss, Nas's baby mama Carmen diss and yes the Future diss. I am sure many people could give examples of your success off the backs of others.

Y'all are idiots in here this mornin....he shouldn't have to explain shit that's apparently clear. It's called HipHop & one key components is word play. It was a double entendre that spoke to the TRUTH of what we all see....No Lies told & clearly Truth Hurts....
If Future so heated about the "inference" then get out the pen & pad Step up ur vocabulary

We're idiots but you said the same shit Sherlock.

11:42 A horrible double Entendre that is. His attempt to "explain" what he "really" meant backfired. Now he scurrying saying this type of crap so he wont be deemed as a hater. (Which he really is).

The Money phone trend got him mad because Livenation got him on lock and he wish he could flex like drake and future. Jay,u aint fooling the RWS fam. We see the PR scheme here

I wouldn't even date a man that posts his money on social media (Floyd & 50), let alone date someone that takes pictures of it put up to their ear!

the line was put together and Future ended up a collateral.Hate Jay all you want he is on the top 5 of greatest lyricist. For the record "take over was a way better diss track than "ether" just put out at the wrong time.If take over was a response to ether there would be no Nas.Doubt me?go back and listen to both.

Takeover was definitely wittier than Ether.....however, Nas spit str8 FACTS on ETHER. Some of those facts people are just now realizing about Jay. That shit hurt Jay's feelings so bad he wrote three more wack ass diss tracks towards Nas while Nas just moved on. I mean Jay's own mother made him apologize...she was hurting for her baby getting called out like that 😂😂😂😂

Truth speaks for itself.... no witty punchline or gimmicks needed. It was the same thing Remy did to Nicki Minaj. Yes her flow was horrible but she spit STR8 Facts which is why Nicki was running fir cover.

I agree with you, Take Over is better than Ether but both are unforgettable.
