Master P Backtracks on Kevin Hart Hurricane Harvey Criticism

This week comedian Kevin Hart challenged his A-List celebrity friends to donate $25k to Hurricane Harvey relief, a challenge criticized by Master P.

Master P clarifies his statement...

We love Houston! Houston helped my people during hurricane Katrina. They opened their arms to families from New Orleans. I probably was the first to donate. I gave a lot but it's no need to talk about it. Giving is a blessing, if you can give then give! Your blessing will come back from God. I have nothing against Kevin Hart. Don't get it twisted with a TMZ sound bite. Hurricane Harvey has devastated Houston and the surrounding areas. Families need food water clothing shelter and it might take at least 10 years to rebuild. Please Go & Volunteer now in Houston, it could be monetary or it could be your time. You can make a difference whether it's big or small. It's not a race it's a marathon we're going to need your help more than once. There's gonna be water damage, mold & mildew and health care problems once family's get back into their homes. 85% of Houston doesn't have flood insurance So thats another Battle! The kids are going to need to get back in school. Most of the elderly have lost everything. We need people to be there When The Cameras LEAVE. We love Houston! We don't need problems or negativity right now! We need prayers and solutions. #HelpHouston

I love that celebrities are donating, but they need to use their platforms to lobby for a modern levee system like they have in the Netherlands. Full stop.

Yeah its very retarded that these people knew this storm was coming weeks before it hit land and waited until the day of to evacuate. Oh and lets not forget Donald Trump took funding away from EPA and Emergency Management Services then gon show up down there crackin jokes. 8:22am America has some of the most dumbest people in the world pulling the strings. Other countries are far more advanced when it comes to healthcare and infrastructure. The american people are just going along with the foolishness.

Why are people are still trying to drive in flooded waters after they told them not to, getting stuck then looking for people to help them?

Why

Master P touched on something many of us don't think about--future health problems. Our fellow Americans have to battle the effects of mold.

This is just awful. My heart and prayers go out to all who had to endure this. I know from experiencing Katrina. It devastated us. And to know many of my NOLA people relocated to Houston...(who BTW were good to many of us)..it breaks my heart to know that they are going through this all over again. PTSD for real. I don't have much but I gave what I could.
