Shonda has gainfully employed many black actors and continues to do so. Her shows are high quality as well. Kudos to her.

@11:21 Thank you! I can't stand her shows, although I love Viola Davis. Black women are hypocrites, always talking about how black men chase white women but love seeing themselves being sluts to white men. SMH

i HATED HTGAWM. The Voila character was AWFUL. And don't get me started on SLAVE-candal.

@11:22 AM Network television has always shunned away from having/showing black relationships. It's a known fact that white people/executives at networks will consider a TV show just for blacks if the main character's significant other is also black. Therefore, networks always have interracial relationships for their main characters to ensure white viewership. Shonda had to play the network game in order to get a network contract. I do like how Shonda was able to still have her black female lead characters have love scenes with black men at some point in the show (Viola's side piece was a handsome black man).

I troll it like I see it said...

Good for her.

@11:22 AM I could never get into Scandal because Kerry was used as the white man's whore. I hate these interracial unions being promoted on TV shows, movies, and in commercials now. There is definitely an agenda. You take that beautiful black actress Aja King on HTGAWM...she doesn't even realize she's being used as a meat stick on that show. That's why her career isn't popping like some of the other black women around her age. You can only bedwench for so long before it turns people off. If you notice on Queen Sugar, they had Rutina doing the same thing but then quickly switched her character into liking a black man. LOL.

@12:58, I disagree. Think about all the BLACK shows we had in the 70s, 80s, and 90s that showed REAL black families and relationships. This bedwench, feminism era started in the late 2000s, early 2010s.

@12:50 in response to you, I agree! HTGAWM is a good show but it's too much interracial sex and homosexuality in the show which is something else shows from the 20th century shunned away from.

Netflix is sweeping the entertainment landscape. I remember telling the owner of a Blockbuster franchise in the early 2000s that Netflix had a better business model. He scoffed. Netflix is building their headquarters in Hollywood. Blockbusters had no vision. Nor did they use new technology.

I like Shonda' s business acumen. She has put a lot of black actors to work. I applaud her. Congrats girl.
