Solange and SZA Hook-Up

Last month Solange Knowles and SZA fan-girled over each other after Solange posted SZA's song Love Galore online [click here if you missed that].

Now Solo and SZA are hooking up...

According to a SZA fan page Solange will be directing SZA's next video.

Nooooo SZA Run!!!! Don't let the Knowles/Carters ride your wave!!! Do ya'll remember when SZA couldn't get her record released for 3 years but the industry was fine with her writing songs for Beyonce. Why does it seem like any black female singer that want to make it in the mainstream music industry have to be affiliated with Bey or sing Bey and Solange's praises? I think Solange is the real songwriter and creative member of the Knowles' family and her artistry has been neglected and uncredited by the same family. However, why is Solange the only black neo soul/alternative singer getting any praise/shine in mainstream when there are so many others. This music video and the countless award shows that have been giving Solange all these accolades like there is no other black talent out there, signals to me that the black female talent will not be recognized like in the days of Whitney Houston or TLC. If the black girls don't stan for Bey and family, they better kiss their singing careers and hopes of getting awarded for their songs goodbye!!!

Clit riders are sooooo annoying! Beyonce doesn't need a PR team to keep her name relevant because on EVERY major black blog site she is brought up D-A-I-L-Y!!

@ 4:38 Spot! This kid needs to run for her life and career. The Knowles/Carters will manipulate her and she will find herself on the editing floor. RUN

I am team SZA all the way.
For some reason LSA fonts love making comments about her sexual history, hair and made up freckles. Like Rhianna was never a industry pass around or their Queef Bay doesn't rock dried out weaves and colored contacts.
This girl can sing and write her own music. The Carters won't be able to get to her unless she let's them.

The Knowles don't need her to make them mainstream. Good luck SZA, you're extremely talented and if you need to be affiliated with them to push your name out there further, use it as a stepping stone.

I hate that picture of Orlando Jones.

lol y'all need to stop I swear y'all make the carters out to be some type of boogie man with unlimited power. It's really not that serious. Plus Sza has already worked with Beyoncé. Didn't she write for her...

@11:33am It's Really Really Serious!!! Black women voices are being deleted and silenced from the mainstream music industry. The only black women that are allowed to shine are Bey, Rhianna, Nicki and now Solange. However I noticed that any black women that gets play is connected to one of those women. Sza had to write for Bey & Rhianna. Dej Loaf is connected to Nicki. How did we go from hearing and seeing a multitude of diverse black voices to just a such a small representation of black talent?

I feel like when Aaliyah died and Jay became president of Def Jam, the black music environment became depleted. The only people to survive the purge was Bey & Jay. The black music producers aren't trying to highlight black women's voices. Timberland refuses to put out Tink's rap album but he has all the time in the world to go on reality TV to find the next popstar & boy band members. Jay let Melanie Fiona go and we barely hear from Santigold. Jay's been signing old rappers to RocNation like Fat Joe and Jim Jones. Black producers are too busy trying to find their white cash cows and the white producers are upholding white supremacy. Bey has those little sisters that sing but we barely see/hear them.

Solange wanted Bey's pop/contemporary R&B career but it didn't workout; therefore, she took to YouTube like her sister and reinvented herself. If the black lives matter movement didn't happen and black women weren't woke and looking for an alternative sound the industry would have kept Solange and SZA in the background writing for Bey.

Black female singers that can cause competition have their albums delayed for years such as Seven Streeter, SZA, Tink, Tinashe, Ell Varner or worst they get dropped. There is something fishy going on and it needs to stop. Bey & Solange did not join the protest for the Grammys deleting several R&B Grammy categories or protest black singers #1 songs not being played on top 40 radio. Solange and Bey only protested when Lemonade didn't win.

If things keep going the way they are going, the only black female that will get any mainstream shine after SZA will be Blue Ivy. The rest will be doomed to the underground and going on Love and Hip Hop to get exposure for their music. But maybe the underground is best to preserve their artistic integrity and to avoid bowing down to the Knowles/Carters!!!

@1.17 Wow just wow...I share the exact same thoughts with you and been waiting for someone to point these facts out. I agree so bad that I had to let u know even though I don't like to comment on blogs.
I don't understand why the industry doesn't want to support other black females anymore it is really sad
