Queen Stephanie, You are loved and respected
Get to the black phone and dial for help
The insects who disrespect You can be handled

She posted this with words of dignified elegance. Ms. Stephanie does not deserve to be spoken of in a negative light. Throughout her years at the top alongside MJ and Prince, she remained classy and drama free. I wish her all the best, she will get thru this because her fans have never abandoned her, she was queen before there ever was Whitney Houston.

I love Ms Mills and ALL of her music!

I love how she has carried herself and reputation ALL these years

I love how she decided not sell out to the industry
And I admire her grace and dignity

After she left that slimy guy Jeffrey from the group Shalimar
I havent heard a thing from Ms Mills

OT: NO singers (except Peabo Bryson) has tried to remake ANY of Ms Mills music
I wonder why?

"Still Mine" and "You and I" are still my favorite songs from Ms Mills

I wish Fantasia would attempt to remake
"You and I"
She is the only artist out right now that I think could do it :)

@10:09

Alicia Keys remade "if I was your woman" on her second album. I don't recall Stephanie having an opinion about it (probably because the cover was meh).

Back on topic,

Stephanie's shade toward the gf is just too much. "Live in companion", "considering her age she should know better", "single mom of 3".

@10:09 Stephanie Mills version was the remake. Peabo did it first.

@10:09 and 6:33 If I Was Your Woman was orginally done by Gladys Knight and the Pips...both versions are remakes.

@10:02

6:33 here. Thanks for clarifying, though I dont get why that song was worthy to remade twice. It's boring IMO

Set 'em straight, Queen Stephanie Mills! FWYH, Stephanie reigned supreme over 80s r&b with her anthemic power ballads -- I Feel Good All Over, I've Learned to Respect the Power of Love, Comfort of a Man, and others.

"Puttin a Rush on Me" is still my jam till this day! I LOVE this woman! So underrated as a vocalist. When will she get her Soul Train, Image, BET award? 25 yrs ago, I had my mama order us the Edgar Morris skincare line bc she starred in the infomercial. "What kind of girl do you think I am? Its just too soon cant you understand?" Jammin!

I love, love, love, Stephanie Mills, her great voice, and her music. I can listen to her music for hours! Fortunately, she came on the scene when she did because I don't think she would get her just credit today when they seem to want every woman singer to look like Bey or Rhi. She came around when talent mattered, no shade intended. Feel the Fire , Never Knew Love Like This Before, and Home, are some favorites. I understand why she won't do Unsung, her music is still relevant.
