Russell Simmons Accused of Second Sexual Assault

Earlier this month hip hop moguel Russell Simmons was accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old model from Nebraska back in 1991 [click here if you missed that].

After a second accuser comes forward Russell Simmons steps down from his businesses...

This morning The Hollywood Reporter posted a guest column by filmmaker Sidney Lumet's daughter, writer Jenny Lumet, detailing her assault by Russell Simmons.

...and then this happened.

Go here to read Jenny's account.

Between revenge porn and these sexual harassment allegations, 2017 is becoming a great year for hoes.

I'm trying to figure out who I'm going to set up at work as I type.

If I wanna walk around with my nipple and vag out at our Annual Holiday Party men have no right to stare!!! I'm an innocent victim!!!

@11:12 A true testament of how women have been so conditioned to accept bad behavior from men that they start becoming complicit. Your statement is so stupid. According to your logic women are harassed or raped because they asked for it. Girl, get your self-esteem out the gutter. This stuff has been going on for years, and women are just now fighting back!

The second accuser is Lena Horne's granddaughter.

11:44, right. So many women have been victimized, assaulted, had inappropriate things done or said myself included. Many will not get justice in the form of acknowledgement and or public shaming of the perp.

Wayment: Assault on a woman?

Sorry, I don't believe this at all.

@11:18 LOL@ "LEE DANIELS. BATTER UP."

Terry Crew must feel vindicated.

Didn't mean to leave out assaults on males too, cause we know this happens as well.

TRUTH! Remember Kimora was a teenager when he was banging her out...BUT he wifed her so it was all forgiven. So a rapist and a pedophile it's the Russell Simmons way.

Sooooo, I guess this cleverly crafted crock of shyt statement means that he will be turning over controlling interest in his corporation and legally separating himself from "said" business(s) to protect them from the civil suits that his money grubbing, embezzling from the poor, low life, scumbag pretentious fuck of a human bout to be facing. Oh, and to the rush card users-karma is an evil bitch and it looks like his amoral business antics have caught up to him.

He did those Rush-Card users real dirty. People lost their cars, unable to pay rent, electricity went off, in some cases unable to buy food. I was stunned people still use Rush-Card. Google that mess, true mess. Karma

At 11:12, you are completely overthinking how to be sexually assaulted at work. All you need to do apparently is work with a high profile powerful man while being fully clothed and professional, he's the one going to whip out his fuck regardless.

These men can get plenty of men and women that parade around naked, what they seek to do is diminish professionals into being at their disposal sexually.

So if you want to get a payout, just show up to work and do your job with a suit on.

1:29 and 2:19 that makes sense. And I read recently that allegedly the kids/Grandkids already ran through Lena Horne's estate and Sidney Lumet has other kids, so I bet Uncle Rush paid her to say this...and it makes him look straight.

Not even the yoga vegan bullshit can hide all the shit you've done

WHAT ABOUT ALL THE MEN WHO HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY HARASSED BY WOMEN!!!! WHEN WILL THEY SPEAK UP?

Just an observation said...

4:25
They should speak up as well. I've heard some crazy stories about women holding their jobs over their heads when sexually harassing them.

I have been a fan of this blog for a long time because I feel the commentators are mature and bias and I feel we are free to share things. I never leave comments, but I always crack up reading them. I have worked in the entertainment business for over 10 years, and thank God I have never been raped, but I have been touched inappropriately and without consent on more than one occasion. I told my mentor about it recently with everyone coming out, and I was told to keep my mouth shut because I'm currently closing a distribution deal on a television show and that may mess things up and get me blackballed. I feel I can share it here...so here we go...

About 5 years ago I was at a party at Jamie Foxx's house (he has them every year) sitting at a table by the pool with my cousin. This actor (not Jamie) walks up to me and grabs my face with his tongue out. I pushed him away, then he grabs my breast and moves them around saying "Damn you look good" now I wanted to punch him in the face but I thought about it quickly and moved away from him (he was clearly drunk). Seconds later a woman walks up to me apologizing and saying please forgive him because he was drunk. She could have been his publicist, but I was so disgusted that I left. I told some industry friends what happened and they laughed and said "Oh he always does that when he gets drunk" like it was normal and should have been excused! The guy who did this is now the star of a popular show that airs on a major network. It's sad that I was told me telling this publicly would hurt my chances of succeeding in this business...but I just felt like sharing with you guys since we can keep it 100....

Next? We all Know who it will be, 1 2 3

^^^Prayers and blessings to you--and gratefulness that it didn't go any further. Still, you should not be ashamed or afraid of having shared your experience, as it will make others feel brave enough to speak out as well. Nobody has the right to touch you without consent.

The veil is being lifted. This really is the Age of Aquarius.

They will be exposed.

@6:23 I'm so sorry that happened to you.

~ I believe I know to whom you're referring, 6:23 and thank you for sharing that story. And thank goodness you were with family/someone you trust because you could have been targeted for something worse. I hate to sound dramatic...

Rule of thumb for parties in LA as relayed to me by an industry veteran: Never sit down, make sure to circulate with your trusted companion, never drink/watch the bartender pour your ginger ale/club soda, see who you came to see and only go to parties for business purposes. Leave after an hour and a half no matter how much "fun" you're having and leave as soon as things get weird.

Remember, these people are not friends. They're business contacts. And please don't reveal the name. These people are protected. The ones getting burned/exposed are so no because they're costing more money than they're worth. The entities that protected them are tired of paying settlements, or for their lavish lifestyles. You know how some celebs are worth more dead than alive? Look at the the insurance policies covering the contracts of men like the NBC anchor. The network allegedly gets a huge rebate and doesn't have to pay for his helicopter rides to and from Connecticut anymore.

Stay safe, be well!
