Serena Williams Opens Up About Her Struggles with Motherhood

Serena Williams covers the next issue of Vogue Magazine and opens up about her difficult delivery and postpartum emotional rollercoaster...

Serena tells Vogue
"No one talks about the low moments—the pressure you feel, the incredible letdown every time you hear the baby cry. I’ve broken down I don’t know how many times. Or I’ll get angry about the crying, then sad about being angry, and then guilty, like, Why do I feel so sad when I have a beautiful baby? The emotions are insane.”
Serena also opens up about having to have an emergency c-section and the serious complications that left her bedridden for six weeks following the procedure.

Cute pic, but why are photos with these babies seem as an afterthought? Like it’s all about the mother and “oh” fit/photoshop the baby in the pic for effect! Her baby is as far out of the photo as possible just like BeyoncĂ©s twins were held just above her knees!

She just wanna floss this white man's baby in People's face because nobody really gives a shit about it

@12:31 I know right, and these coons wouldn't be saying she has a cute baby if he wasn't half white...

^^^gtfoh, I'm not a coon and I think the baby is cute and it's not because her complexion is light. It's 2018 only a self-hating idiot would still harp on skin complexions. Contrary to what YOU may think all light skinned babies are not cute and I wouldn't say anything at all about the ones I feel that way about.

The baby is cute, and I'm happy for Serena's success, both professional and personal.

she looks good. she's holding the baby like a trophy lol. i had a c-section, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. i literally walked doubled over like i was a 90 year old woman for weeks. then you had to be careful and not bust those stitches. it was horrible. even years later, if i move just so i feel a stinging where my the stitches were. c-section is a major surgery, but it's not really talked a lot about. she's right about that. especially, in her world they all act like they had immaculate births. talking about they "snapped back" probably in throbbing pain while holding in their guts. lol. she should've talked to beyonce about her c section...oh wait, ;)

What I don't get is, you guys call Serena ugly, but the baby looks exactly like her only a light skin version. I fucking hate you black motherfuckers. You are so color struck.

Bringing life into this world is traumatic on every woman's body, your body and hormone goes though so many changes, also postpartum depression is no joke
as is a c-section. Every first time mother is a bundle of nerves you worry if your making a huge mistake, if you are being a good mother and all the guilt of being mad when your baby cries and nothing you do can sooth them, Serena as a champion is used to being so focused and in control. But as a new mother this is a whole new ball game and she may need to join a first time mother's support group. We all been there girl but you get through it. Micheal J Fox said it best when you have your first child and the pacifier falls on the ground you get nervous and run and sterilize it in boiling water, the second child you it falls on the floor you rinse it off and by the third child, pacifier falls on the ground the dog licks in and brush it off on your sweats and pop it back into the kids mouth. As a mother of 5 I'm a pro at it now, my first I was a damn mess, wracked with guilt if I'm going to screw up being and mother and screw up the kid in the process lol. Its get's better but she might need some support outside of being mother with other first time mom's.

Self hating niggas make my ass itch. Serena isn't ugly nor is she cute to ME. Besides the shape of her forehead and eyebrows that cute little baby doesn't look anything like her to ME! Lips? Nope, Face shape? Nope, Nose? Nope, Ears from another pic? Nope. Carry on with your hate though.....

A black person having a light skin baby is a prize, wanted, desired in the black community still,in some not all blacks....It is 2018 yes,but we are still chained mentally to slavery...Imagine how the field slaves felt watching the house slave enjoy life, while the house slave endured abuse from the wife and rejection from the field slaves....Thats just one problem...imagine if we lived during those times, now?Imagine going through an array of problems never documented...
