Sister Sister Reboot Not a Done Deal

Last week actress Jackée Harry confirmed to Steve Harvey that a reboot of the 90s sitcom Sister Sister was in the works [click here if you missed that].

Not so fast...

Tia Mowry tells People Magazine
“We haven’t gotten an official go yet. Everything is put into place. We just need a home.”
“We have a writer. We have an idea. Everybody’s on board. All the puzzles and pieces are in place.”

Tia was saying a while back that she was surprised people hadn’t jumped on the chance to work with them on this yet. So this statement doesn’t surprise me. I’d honestly rather them bring back the reality show. A Sister Sister reboot isn’t necessary and probably won’t last more than a season.

"We just need a home" means that people are looking to start but they need a network to give them a chance. It may be that there isn't a lot of interest in it. A lot of stuff is being rebooted, i.e. Full House, but if people aren't interested, they aren't interested.

They should've brought the show back in an animated version...

To the insomniac @3:39 AM: I was saying it as an example. Things that get rebooted are things that people have interest in. NO NETWORK is gonna reboot something that doesn't have a cult following. I ain't a fan of NEITHER show but I am aware that Full House has a following. But its cool, just continue to give more space to more rachet reality tv about dead-end career rappers and strippers. Im sure you wouldn't love more reboots of that crap.
