Tessa Thompson Clarifies Lena Dunham Statement

This week #TimesUp movement facilitator, actress Tessa Thompson, seemingly apologized for diminishing writer Lena Dunham's contribution to the movement after Lena posted of picture of herself at a #TimesUp event despite publicly doubting actress Aurora Perrinau's account of being raped by Lena's friend and Girl's co-writer Murray Miller [click here if you missed that].

Tessa insists she wasn't apologizing...

It all started after Lena posted a picture of herself at a #TimesUp open house ahead of the Golden Globes and a fan asked Tessa why Lena wasn't being held accountable for publicly accusing Aurora Perrineau of lying about being raped.

After Tessa's social media comment went viral Tessa offered an explanation.

Last night Tessa clarified her statement.

This is the stupidest fucking thing ever! Can't wait for this shit to die. James Franco (conveniently after winning a golden globe) and 95 year old Stan Lee were both just accused, really? This will backfire so bad on women.

How is sexual assault stupid, on the part of the victim, finally being strong enough to share their #TRUTH.
The age & education, always shows itself on this blog.

@10:17 How is speaking out against sexual harassment stupid? You need to grow up. What else do you think is stupid: speaking out against racism, police brutality, crime against the elderly, child sexual abuse...?

The #metoo movement will and has backfired on women. Instead of opening a conversation that progresses the agenda and inclusion of women, it’s actually having the opposite affect. Women are being excluded from the meetings for fear of any inappropriate impropriety occurring. Men are fearful of meeting women in any social circles for fear of having their livelihood or reputation jeopardize. Statistics are already showing signs... this movement will be to our detriment

See they hijacked the metoo movement like they hijack all things made by black folks music, our style, lips, body type etc. they put the black chick all the way to the back and got the white and light skin in the front, white feminist don’t care about black women. They using us to keep the black man from being ahead of them. These heffas know how their men get down and some used it to become rich and famous now they got a problem with it. Hypocrisy at its finest. Black women stay out of this. Have your own thing don’t mix with them..
